<description>In reference to Nikons 18-200VR lens, those of us suckers that had trusted Nikon for many years were badly burned by Nikon Corporation. This lense dose not has lens creep as other good quality third party lenses sometimes have. The first production of this lens had more like parachute fall every try to point a lens at a slight downward angle and have the lens just keep on zooming without restraint? You can&#039;t hold the lens in place with one hand and make a long exposure without shaking the camera and lens. Nikon denied any responsibility and refuse to fix the problem. I was told on the phone by Nixon repair in the United States that the engineering department had instructed the technicians to inform we suckers that this was normal lens creep for zoom lens, when in Taiwan I sent this lens to my camera store to send to Nikon Taiwan the same story was given to me again. Liars, their warranty is worthless and they are a dishonest company. A DP forum user wrapped the barrels in scotch tape and even though it took a lot of tape the Nikon lenses is at least usable. I hope some lawyer brings a class action law suit against Nikon. Serial number US2548931 Nikon now claims in this article to have fixed this problem, what about the many people that bought their original 18-200 VR batch of junk?

Be wary of anything Nikon builds, at least Canon dose not run away from their problems even focusing issues that last for years are still pursued and dealt with...
