I have had the 50mm f1.2 MF lens since June 1979. Thru all the years of use it never once failed me in all those years, I even used it on my D300s with very good results.
Its definately a plus in my camera bag, I intend to use it more now since I'ved learned the ropes of digital shooting as opposed to film for the last 30 years.
I will go one further & advise you that I even used my 105mm F2.5 MF telephoto lens with equally very good results.
Can't wait to use them both next time I use the video option.MY 28mm F3.5 MF wide angle lens will be used next time I shoot landscape/seascape photos.
Those older Nikkor MF AIS lenses were great then & even better now.
