Nikon 1 V2 Reviews

Techradar reviews the Nikon 1 V2 and writes;
“We think the V2′s controls are much more enthusiast-friendly than the V1′s. This plus the fact that there are now six compatible 1 Nikkor lenses with three more in the pipeline is likely to make the camera much more attractive to keen photographers looking for a smaller, lighter alternative to an SLR.”

Photographyblog reviews the Nikon 1 V2 and writes;
“In good light the Nikon V2 is still as fast as anything on the market when it comes to auto-focus speed. Even if you compare it to pro SLR cameras with fast-focusing lenses, the Nikon 1 V2 comes out favourably, both in terms of sheer speed and accuracy.”

Ephotozine reviews the Nikon 1 V2 and writes;
“The Nikon 1 V2 is an excellent advancement in the mirrorless camera market. There are stunning new features such as Slow View and there is fast high-speed shooting. Given you can shoot at shutter speeds up to 1/4000, it’s possible to use the camera for sports photography if you purchase the 10-100mm (35mm equiv: 27-270mm) lens or attach a AF-S or AF-I Nikkor lens using the FT1 mount.”

Trustedreviews reviews the Nikon 1 V2 and writes;
“The V2′s automatic white balance is generally reliable, producing accurate images in a variety of lighting conditions. Colours appear a touch muted when the camera’s default settings are used, however this can be easily rectified though the on-board ‘Picture Control’ settings, with the Vivid setting producing images with much greater saturation.”

Luminescentphoto reviews the Nikon 1 V2 and writes;
“The Nikon 1 V2 is a major improvement ergonomically over the Nikon 1 V1. It delivers fast performance, super-high frame rates, and a significantly improved control layout.”

Digitalcamerainfo reviews the Nikon 1 V2 and writes;
“The grip is far larger, the mode dial includes PASM settings, and the camera has a redesigned sensor that could offer better performance than we saw from the 1 V1.”

Ephotozine reviews the Nikon 1 V2 and writes;
“Nikon have made some fairly significant changes to the body from the V1, with the addition of a good hand grip, built-in pop-up flash as well as moving around some of the buttons, including giving you access to the manual controls via the mode dial.”

Techradar reviews the Nikon 1 V2 and writes;
“The new shape of the camera makes it much easier to hold and helps it feel sturdier, especially when shooting one-handed. Something as simple as adding a mode dial to the top of the camera makes it a much nicer experience when you want to quickly change between modes.”

CNET reviews the Nikon 1 V2 and writes;
“The V2 is a good performer with very fast autofocus performance with above average video performance in a small package. The company has also addressed past issues by implementing useful upgrades such as an inbuilt flash and a function button which we appreciate.”

Photoreview reviews the Nikon 1 V2 and writes;
“The V2 is a nice little camera for the average snapshooter who wants to take still pictures and movies that look good on the screen. It provides a decent range of adjustable controls and enough special effects to satisfy most users. And it delivers improvements in imaging and video performance.”

Pocket-lint reviews the Nikon 1 V2 and writes;
“The V2 can shoot sharp images at pace, there’s no doubt about that, and while JPEG processing at higher ISO settings is rather successful, the more demanding shooter won’t want the subtle level of noise that’s apparent in raw files to be there. We’d say the V2 is more than a stop behind the best-in-class Micro Four Thirds system, something such as the Olympus OM-D E-M5.”
