Nikon 1 30-110mm f/3.8-5.6 VR Nikkor Lens Reviews
Photoreview reviews the Nikon 1 30-110mm f/3.8-5.6 VR Nikkor Lens and writes;
“Barrel distortion could be seen at the 30mm focal length but the lens was largely distortion-free at 110mm. Vignetting (edge darkening) was negligible at all focal length settings. Bokeh was much as you’d expect, given the size of the camera’s sensor. Out-of-focus highlights were slightly choppy at the widest lens aperture but areas without strong contrasts appeared quite smooth.”
SLRGear reviews the Nikon 1 30-110mm f/3.8-5.6 VR Nikkor Lens and writes;
“The Nikon 30-110mm ƒ/3.8-5.6 focuses very fast and near-silently, taking less than a second to focus from infinity to close-focus.. The Nikon 30-110mm ƒ/3.8-5.6 VR really surprised us – for its small size and weight, it produces excellent photographs. If you’re interested in buying a Nikon J1 or V1, this an excellent complement to the 10-30mm ƒ/3.5-5.6 VR kit lens.”
Photographyblog reviews the Nikon 1 30-110mm f/3.8-5.6 VR Nikkor Lens) and writes;
“The Nikon 1 Nikkor VR 30-110mm f/3.8-5.6 is a surprisingly good telephoto lens for the Nikon 1 system. Sharpness is very good to excellent, with only the extreme borders being somewhat soft at the 30mm setting. Due to the size of the sensor the lens has been designed for, diffraction kicks in at around f/8, so the 1 Nikkor VR 30-110mm is typically at its best when used wide open – which isn’t a bad thing. Chromatic aberrations are kept to an absolute minimum, and vignetting isn’t much of an issue, either.”
Nikon 1 30-110mm f/3.8-5.6 VR Nikkor Lens User Reviews
You’ll need this lens
“We have a J1 that was offered w/ a 10mm so knew we would need the 30-110mm. We are NOT pros but, use this lens most of the time out of doors. My wife, difficult to please and likes her old cameras, now loves the J1 with the 30-110mm zoom. She also takes videos as well. You need this zoom lens if you will be using the “Nikon 1″ series camera.” – By Ritt
Clarity and jitter free. What could be better!
“What was so great about the lens was how clear the images were, even in low light, and the movement stabilizer was the best. Made even shots where birds were flying rapidly, photograph clear and still.” – By Thierry
“Basically, due to the relatively small size and weight of the camera and lenses I was able to travel normally but take great photos. I love both lenses but the 30-110mm definitely has the highest IQ of the three lenses I own.. Anyone with a V1 or J1 should really try to add this lens to their bag since it gives you great reach and high IQ for such a low price.” – By oldyoung
Natural Addition for V=1
“This lens is the natural addition to the standard 10 x 30 lens to provide a complete system for the portable and conveniently sized new Nikon 1. It provides all of the flexability to do what a larger and heavier SLR will do but much more practical for the traveler.” – By charlie badger
Purchase this Lense
“If you buy (or own) the Nikon 1 V1 or J1 purchase this lense. The optics are very sharp, and its ability to pick up light in low light conditions is amazing and extremely helpful.” – By Sean W. Gilligan
