Nikon 1 10-30mm f/3.5-5.6 VR Nikkor Lens Reviews
Photographylife reviews the Nikon 1 10-30mm f/3.5-5.6 VR Nikkor Lens/a> and writes;
“the Nikon 10-30mm f/3.5-5.6 VR is a great kit lens for the Nikon 1 mirrorless camera system. It has a very useful zoom range of 27-81mm (equivalent to 35mm), collapsible barrel design, vibration reduction, compact size, low weight and a great optical design, making it a lens of choice for everyday photography on Nikon 1 cameras. It is a sharp lens with good contrast and colors, and its performance is pretty good both in the center and in the corners.”
Photoreview reviews the Nikon 1 10-30mm f/3.5-5.6 VR Nikkor Lens and writes;
“Barrel distortion was very obvious at the 10mm focal length, with slight pincushioning visible at 30mm. Vignetting (edge darkening) was negligible at all focal length settings.
Backlit subjects were generally handled well and the lens was relatively flare-free as long as the light source was outside the frame. Bokeh was smoother than you’d expect from a lens of this format.”
Photographyblog reviews the Nikon 1 10-30mm f/3.5-5.6 VR Nikkor Lens and writes;
“Chromatic aberrations are quite well controlled, and vignetting isn’t much of an issue, either. Close-up performance is absolutely stunning for a zoom lens, which is great news given that currently there are no dedicated macro lenses available for the Nikon 1 system. Bokeh is fine when you can throw the background sufficiently out of focus,”
Nikon 1 10-30mm f/3.5-5.6 VR Nikkor Lens User Reviews
1 Nikkors are great lenses
“I got this 10-30 lens together with the 10 in the zoom-wide-angle Nikon 1 V1 kit. Despite the fact that, in general, I prefer prime lenses, I have to say that I like to 10-30 very much. It is sharp, delivers nice contrast and colors, and it is super compact, well built, the AF is silent and fast. And, of course, the VR works perfectly (with the firmware upgrade). It is especially its compactness which makes it such a pleasure to use.” – By JR
Quick and convenient
“The close focus spec is 200 mm, but spot focus will allow closer focusing, from 68 mm to 100 mm, increasing with the focal length, The lens works much better if you stay at least 200 mm away from your subject. (For true close focus work I use a 55mm Micro-NIKKOR with the lens adapter.)” – By Alyosha
