Manfrotto 334B Automatic Monopod User Reviews
“The price went up dramatically, but I love the ease of height adjustment. I always buy the warranty— because if water or sand get in the mechanism– it is toast. I shoot weddings and sports. I have a Just Rite Bracket, Nikon D300 and the 17-55 mm f/2.8 with a Nikon SB-900. Sometimes I will use the 10.55 mm fisheye, or the 70-200 f/2.8 VR to get some really tight shots. This monopod is strong enough to support my 300 mm f/2.8 lens.” – By KevinPhotographerFischer

“I’ve had this product for almost two weeks now. It feels solid and easy to use with the trigger to automatically raise or lower the upper section. I like it very much! It would have garnered 5 star had the lower section been as easy to lower or raise.” – By Kaizen Way
Most useful monopod
“The quick release squeeze trigger is a marvel. Good for very fast set ups with minimal fiddling with locking mechanisms. I carry mine with the lower sections extended and locked with a limited length that can be managed and then squeeze the trigger for the final set-up. Also, one-hand operation set-up and close up.. I chase Buddhist lamas doing ceremonies and must move fast… they will not repeat actions!” – By Charles H. Harpole
Fast setup with this monopod
“Have had this, our first monopod, for several months, with the Manfrotti 234RC quick release head (purchased separately). Very useful, lightweight system. The quick-release grip does what you would hope – effortlessly releases to raise or lower, and grips tightly. The weight of the lower rod allows it to drop when the handle is squeezed, for true one-hand operation. Rubber bottom tip allows holding pod at an angle on slippery wood floors without worry. Large diameter tube makes for a stable feel. We use this with a Pentax *istD with 75 – 300 mm telephoto, but it could accommodate more weight.” – By Lifelong Learner
“I’ve been using this monopod for a year or so now. It’s a great product for those who are just getting into some of the more professional picture taking. I’d like them to include the swivel head, but that’s more of a “i wish i didn’t have to spend more money” thing. I’ve used the monopod for several cameras of differing types. I have a Nikon SLR and a small handycam that get the most use from it. It’s very light and easy to carry along with you.” – By Brian A. Hall
