Kudos to Manfrotto 190CXPRO3
“This incredibly capable piece of gear does everything to impress, and nothing to disappoint. Its design allows quick setup of a firm camera mount in contorted positions making the 190CXPRO3 an extremely handy and flexible tool. In one restricted situation I had one unextended leg in its fully open (#4 position), while two others were fully extended (in #1 position, with the extension rod tilted at a 90 degree angle. Sounds strange, but it put the camera exactly where it was needed. The light weight and quick control design are absolutely super.” – By G. R. Schimke

A good quality, medium sized, light tripod for travel and general use
“I bought the 190CXPRO3 which comes without a head and added the Manfrotto 322RC Joy Stick Ball Head. I am quite pleased with this combination although I can see that one might want the spike leg ends in some conditions. The included rubber ones have worked fine for me up till now. The tripod is significantly lighter than my old ones, adjusts much easier, and, with the ball head, allows quick and convenient setup and photo composition. I use this tripod with my Canon 5D Mark II with lenses from the 17-40mm f/4L to the 100-400 f/4.5-5.6L. I use the tripod mount on the lens for the longer lenses with satisfactory results. “ – By Glen Canyon Mike

Sturdy and light
“This is my first carbon fiber tripod and I really like the light weight. It is very sturdy in spite of how light it is. I still use my Manfrotto aluminum tripod at times when I’m not going to do a lot of walking. I feel it is sturdier and better able to resist minor movement from wind, etc. It’s also a bit taller. I like having the ability to take the lighter tripod off on walks without getting weary from carrying its weight. I don’t think the carbon fiber tripod (at least this size) is a total replacement of my heavier aluminum tripod. Both are great at what they do.” – By San Antonio Bob

Great Carbon Fiber Tripod
“After reading Kelby’s Digital Photography 1 book, I took one of his first suggestions: buy a really good tripod. This Manfrotto was my choice, and for once, I made a terrific decision. It is really solid, easy to use and works well with my Manfrotto ballhead that I got at the same time. As other reviewers have commented, it doesn’t really have a nice, large, and convenient hook to hang some weight from, but it has enough other projections that work well enough. And, it has such a solid feel to it, that for my Canon Rebel with my zoon, it is very, very solid.” – By N. Vanmatre

Excellent Product
“Great Stuff. I was looking for a good tripod for a long time, everything matched my required specifications (very low weight, decent load capability) but was doubtful about the height. But am very happy with the product, and height also works perfect for me at 5’9″. “ – By Sumod K. Mohan

great tripod
“I’ve been using an aliminum Wal Mart tripod for years and I kick myself for not upgrading to a high end tripod a long time ago. This tripod is very light and very ridgid. The Q90 column is very usefull. With different leg angles, extensions, and the Q90 column, you can get the camera position you need on ANY terrain. with a little extra work, the column can be removed and inserted upside down for even more variety of shooting positions. Yes, Manfrotto should have included retractable spiked feet on this tripod, but it works very well none the less.” – By J. Castle

Not a one-trick pony
“One of the best features of this unit is the ability to easily convert its center pole from vertical to horizontal for copy work or photo macrography. Unlike previous versions of similar products, this one does not require that the center pole be removed from the legs and then reinserted into the clamps that hold it in it’s horizontal position. You simply pull it out as far as it will go and then fold it over into position, making this maneuver fast and easy…” – By R. Bellamy

Everything I expected
“I’ve been using this tripod for about a year and a half now. The only time it has not met my expectations is when it has exceeded them. It is very light weight yet solid. It does not come with a carrying case, but it’s light enough that I’ve not yet even considered buying one. After over a year it shows no sign of wear and tear. I’ve never regretted the purchase.” – By William E. Liberatore

Perfect in weight and usability
“before i bougt this tripod i had a Cullman Magnesit 525, but this one was to heavy to carry it on my shoulder for about hours. So i decided to buy the MANFROTTO CXPRO3 and that was absolutely the right decision. It is of great quality and really lightweighted and due to the carbonfiber it is absolutely stable when i use it with my NIKON D90 with MB-D80, SB-600 and NIKKOR 70-300 mm. “ – By Andreas Schardt
