Lowepro Toploader Zoom 50 AW Backpack User Reviews
Durable yet lightweight camera bag
“There is one generous pocket on the outside, front of the bag and a smaller, zippered pouch inside which can be used for memory cards and other smaller accessories. There is also a section in the bottom of the bag that could accomodate an extra lens, so long as it is not too large. Overall, this is a nice and well-made camera bag. If you are looking for something like this bag, I think you’ll be pleased with your selection.” – By Brad Willis
Great Lowepro bag for light travel
“The Lowepro Toploader Zoom 50 AW continues to deliver on the quality aspect. The material seems to be top notch and sturdy enough to last any travels. This model is particularly useful when you on going on a trip or shoot that you know will not require accessories or multiple lenses. It’s small, light, and easy to load, which is perfect if that fits your need for the day. I find this to be a great companion to a larger bag or backpack to hold all of your gear. I also own a sling variety, which is a little larger than this model and can hold a few lenses…” – By midnight821
Lowepro Toploader Zoom 50 AW
“The Lowepro Toploader Zoom 50 AW Camera Case appears small, but is spacious enough with sufficient interior pockets, and room to hold an SLR with lens. Although the “All Weather AW Cover” is a nice feature, it would’ve been better as a feature ‘built into’ the case lining, rather than being a separate unit.” – By Penetralia
a must have
“Overall, I am very satisfied with this bag and am regretting not having this until now. The bag is extremely light and the quality of stitching and material is also good. The bag was designed well and has a useful weatherproof cover. It’s Lowpros, and they have been making good quality camera bags for many years. I would know since every single bag I have owned from this brand has never disappointed me.” – By J. Ung
Perfect for my DSLR
“I’ve had a Konica Minolta 5D DSLR for several years and I’ve never had a case for it. I’ve been looking for a case for a while, particularly because I’ll be upgrading my camera to a new DSLR soon. When I received this bag, I immediately got excited. It looks stylish and not too bulky. It was the perfect size for my camera body, a lens, my battery charger and a few extra memory cards.” – By MestaySS
Excellent Holster-style Bag
“I prefer using this style of bag when going out with just a single camera-lens setup. This Lowepro Toploader has everything I need and then some. It’s just (barely) large enough for my Canon 20D with Tamron AF 18-270mm Zoom Lens attached. Pocket for extra batteries and cards, and the rain cover is a nice touch that I haven’t needed but appreciate being there for emergencies. I am not sure the padding would be sufficient to prevent breakage should the bag be dropped and would like to see a tad more, but overall, I am very happy with this bag.” – By Mary Jo Sminkey
Great Design, Good Protection, Great Case
“This is an excellent case. The handle is tough and padded well. The zippers are high quality, zip smoothly, and don’t jam at all. The shoulder strap is a flat, thin piece of fabric, not padded at all. It’s not really uncomfortable, but it would have been nice to have a padded strap. The strap reaches a maximum of 20″ down off the shoulder. Other than the padding issue, this is a near perfect case based on my use.” – By ASP
Nice, compact way to carry a camera
“I have been using a Lowepro backpack to carry may camera and however many lenses I want to have with me at that time. It’s a great pack, but holds little else but the camera and accessories. Where to put that peanut butter and jelly sandwich? What I love about this little pack is that it allows me to carry my camera either with the shoulder strap or the optional top-loader chest harness and then I can carry a standard backpack with other items I need for the day. It also allows me to get my camera out without taking the pack off my back: much quicker access. “ – By Wild Bill
Good for Canon 60D & 18-135mm lens
“Lowepro has the good reputaion on camera bags, but first I was very concerned about the size too small for Canon 60D & 18-135mm lens, while I didn’t want a big toploader. After reading everybody’s reviews here, I was convinced that it should work and I have given a try. Wow, it worked. It’s big enough for the camera, or it may be a little tight to somebody else. For me, it is the perfect size..” – By SCJT
