Lowepro SlingShot 202 AW Expert Reviews

Crunchgear reviews the Lowepro SlingShot 202 AW and writes;
“The SlingShot 202 is a strange bag. It’s not really a backpack, although you do wear it on your back, and it’s not really a messenger bag, but you do put the strap over your shoulder. It’s kind of a strange combination of both, taking the best of each and combining them into one bag. Surprisingly, it works pretty well.”

Ephotozine reviews the Lowepro SlingShot 202 AW and writes;
“While targeted at the photojournalist, for reasons outlined above, I think this bag would suit any photographer that wants to travel light but not feel compromised on protection. The bag is lightweight weighing 0.9kg and certainly easy to manoeuvre from the carry mode to ready mode and does sit comfortably on your shoulder if only carrying the bag to the car or in between shots on location, so eliminating the need to put fully over the shoulder.”

Lowepro SlingShot 202 AW User Reviews

Great bag and i also got a nice surprise
“The bag has great padding and protection for all your camera gear. Also has the great rain shield that you can pop out and cover the bag with. I like the small enhancements they made on this version of the bag compared to the previous 200 AW. The extra pockets and small tripod holder come in really handy!” – By Brian S

Lowepro SlingShot 202 AW
“I am so pleased with the Lowepro SlingShot 202 AW camera bag. I originally purchased the 100 and found it too small for my needs. I needed something that held a lunch and other things when doing day hikes. I ended up giving the 100 to a friend that just loves it for her needs. I’m really glad I waited for the 202AW because the new features are great! It has everything I need and more! Quality tends to be the nice thing about LowPro products. I definitely recommend their SlingShots. I would buy LowPro products again in the future.” – By Patricia A. Davidson

Great bag
“I am very happy with how well it held all those various things and how well it traveled — there are maybe some mods I’d make for the non-photog items. It was also quite comfortable to carry both slung over a shoulder, as well as more backpack style. It’s a great bag….” – By Vicki M.

New Camera Bag of Choice
“The bag went on easily and seemed well balanced while we were walking around. Accessing the camera was smooth, quick and without incident. The design allows one to slide the bag to the front and open it while still suspended from the shoulder. This made switching lenses a breeze and there were no worries about smaller items – or expensive lenses possibly falling out. The built in rain cover proved to be very helpful when a sudden storm arose. Everything stayed dry. The side tripod carrying facility was perfect for attaching a small collapsible umbrella.” – By P. Great Bag
“I love this bag! Lots of room for everything you need! Took this to Disney and Universal this summer and it was indispensable. Even with my Nikon D90, 2 lenses, and detachable flash, I still had room to use the extra compartment for bottled waters and snacks! Depending on the amount of gear you stash into it, it can get a bit heavy and hot after a while, but overall, I thought it was comfortable and easy to carry/use.” – By Christmas Island

“This bag is simply amazing. No wonder there are no 1/2* reviews! There are just the right features, no uselesness, no I-wish-there-were-this-pocket/accessory problems. Everything you need is in this bag. And the quality is just… flawless. It feels solid.” – By polo

Fits gear it says, feels rugged, comfortable
“As a woman I wasn’t sure how I’d like a sling backpack style, although mildly less school-kid looking than a traditional backpack, there tend to be fit issues with female anatomy and sling-style backpacks. I was really happy with the fit of this bag. It was comfortable on my shoulder and didn’t slip (so it didn’t unwantedly adjust my shirt)..” – By Sth Jrz Grl

Nice incremental improvements to the Slingshot 200 AW, which was already a great sling bag
“the most compelling reason to upgrade from a Slingshot 200 AW to this Slingshot 202 AW is the tripod strap and foot pouch on the side of the 202. These differences between the 200 and 202 are better displayed and described on the 7 images that I added to the ‘View and share related images’ Customer Images gallery. Overall, these are evolutionary, not revolutionary, improvements to an already-great sling bag!” – By Bond… James Bond

I love this bag
“This is a great sling bag for my DSLR! Very comfortable and has a lot of pockets. Only 2 things I would recommend to improve it: 1. The tripod carrier is really small. It’s probably more adept for a monopod since I can only fit one leg of the tripod in the pocket,which is a smaller travel size pod. 2. The cloth that folds out to protect the screen is too small to effectively cover and protect anything. That should have been made bigger.” – By sogood
