Mymac reviews the Lowepro Pro Runner 200 AW Backpack and writes;
“I was very impressed with the Lowepro Pro Runner 200 AW. If you need to carry a great deal of equipment, this is not the bag for you. However, if you need one camera body and the supporting accessories, this should definitely be on your short list.”

This bag is a gift from heaven for any DSLR photographer
“really, this is a great bag, the only one you will ever need. If you ever go on a trip WITHOUT the camera (how could THAT ever happen!?) just remove the separators inside the main compartment and you have a great overnight bag for a bus or plane or train or hitchhikers trip or whatever. I imagine that even with the current restrictions on air travel this could ride with you on the plane. Good bag, does what it is supposed to all around, and even more capable than you could ever imagine, with all of the well-designed storage spaces. Very light weight and yet very solid, with generous padding all around for all of your delicate electronic and photo equipment.” – By C. Scanlon

Excellent Quality – Does the Job
“At the bottom of the bag is a cleverly hidden rain jacket which unfolds to protect the equipment from dust or rain. It’s pretty well protected even without this, but this shell provides extra protection from the elements. The bag has two nice outside mesh side pockets to hold filter and possibly a water bottle. There’s also a little secret compartment which has a pocket that unfurls. At first I wasn’t sure what I’d use this for. Then I figured out it is a cup to hold a tripod with loops and buckle holding it securely to the outside of the bag…very clever. There’s an assortment of loops on the bag to use to clip things on as you wish.” – By Gadget Man

Spacious, well-padded, & can carry a tripod
“It is very spacious from inside with capacity to adjust lens mounted DSLR, & 7 adjustable chambers separated by the thick padding. The padding can be adjusted using the Velcros, or even removed altogether to make space for longer lenses, flash, & other accessories. On the inside of the flap/cover there is a zipper pocket and 2 pockets for memory cards. The zipper pocket can be used to keep filters etc. the outer side of the cover also has a zipper pocket with space for pen, lens cleaning pen, IPod/MP3 player, cleaning kit, or a small portable tripod. Also, there are 2 side pockets to carry water/drinks and 2 straps to be used for any purpose. They are especially useful during backpacking to carry some extra stuff.” – By Kanishk Rastogi

outstanding protection, extremely versatile, wish it were smaller for my configuration
“There are also some hidden surprises – hidden because they are mentioned in print, but there are no instructions for this backpack, or illustrations of its features. As a new photographer, it wasn’t until I saw pictures others had posted online that I realized the versatility. You can attach your tripod to the outside, and there is a hidden tripod base support that slides out of a dedicated bottom pocket. And, on the rear bottom in a separate pocket, is a waterproof sleeve that can cover the entire unit. Frankly, the backpack is so well designed that I’d think you’d have to be in a monsoon to need this much protection, but it’s good to know you have it if you need it. “ – By Paul Christensen

Best DSLR camera bag for the best price
“This bag is perfect for my Canon 5D Mark II camera and the various accessories that come with it. The bag I had for it originally (it came free with the camera as part of a ‘special offer’) had ripped open at the seams in the bottom leaving a 4 or 5 inch gap which I lost several expensive batteries through before discovering the hole. After duct-taping the hole shut, one of the two zippers broke off at the base and the other followed suit a week or so later. After that the bag was impossible to zip or unzip and I had to physically cut it open with a pair of scissors to retrieve my camera from inside the bag. You get what you pay for, I guess. “ – By Postlapsaria

Holds the SLR and lenses well, little strange to wear
“There is a good handle on top, which ended up being important to me since the bag is really… strange, to wear with the backpack straps. It’s thick enough to protect the SLR really well, but this also makes it stand straight ‘at attention’ off your back. I found moving around an airplane with it on a lame task, and wearing it around other people means making awkward moves so you don’t hit people with it when you turn..” – By J. Riga

Fantastic camera bag for short trips
“It’s a very handsome bag, well constructed with decent materials, straight stitching and no loose threads. The bag is well padded, and the interior compartments are easy to rearrange with the velcro spacers so you can fit the lenses nice and snug in there. There are lots of small and medium size accessory pockets to pretty much store all the extras for your DSLR, even a spot for a small tripod on the outside.” – By AverageGuyShopper
