Kodak ESP 7 Reviews
PCWorld reviews the Kodak ESP 7 and writes;
“Scanning is fast and the results are quite detailed, though colour can be somewhat inconsistent. The 2400ppi resolution lets you scan documents and photos at an acceptable quality for home use. Consumables are cheap for an inkjet multifunction, with an average cost of 10.8c per page. This approaches the average running costs of a mid-range laser printer.”
Trustedreviews reviews the Kodak ESP 7 and writes;
“The ESP 7 is quite a bit cheaper than its bigger sibling and although it lacks the ADF, touch control panel and fax facilities, in all other respects it’s a very similar machine. As a home office all-in-one, it performs well, if not that quickly. Running costs are commendably low, which is always a factor in the purchase of an inkjet, and print quality, while not the best on the block, is more than passable.”
Laptopmag reviews the Kodak ESP 7 and writes;
“Kodak’s $199 ESP 7, which prints, copies, and scans, is the sleekest, most attractive all-in-one on the market. Moreover, it prints crisp photos, and the low cost per print makes it an attractive choice for budget conscious small businesses and telecommuters. If you can deal with an absent fax function and middle-of-the-road wireless speeds, you’ll get the best value when it comes to quality, design, ease of use, and cost of supplies.”
Expertreviews reviews the Kodak ESP 7 and writes;
“The ESP 7 has an excellent range of features and is easy to use. Print costs are reasonable, despite the combined colour cartridge. Its print and scan quality isn’t particularly remarkable, though. Although Canon’s Pixma MP240 (below) is much cheaper and has better print quality, it lacks many of the ESP 7′s features and costs more to run. If you need a network-capable MFP for home use, the ESP 7 is a good choice.”
ITreviews reviews the Kodak ESP 7 and writes;
“The Kodak ESP 7 is an impressive all-rounder that offers high quality prints of documents and photos with a minimum of fuss. Provided the relatively slow print speeds aren’t too much of an issue, this is one of the most approachable solutions on the market. Though it does seem to sap colour ink quite quickly, particularly for full A4 output, replacement cartridges are cheap enough to mean that you should save a few quid over many rivals.”
Hardwaresecrets reviews the Kodak ESP 7 and writes;
“We were honestly impressed by the quality of the prints and the ease of printing that this printer produced when printing on Kodak paper. It eliminated the stress of choosing the proper paper and the proper settings which ultimately eliminates mistakes and wasted paper and ink. We were equally impressed with the ease of use and the ease with which the printer attached to a wireless network.”
Kodak ESP 7 User Reviews
Great photo printer, low cost ink, one caveat for Mac users and beware Windows 7
“This all in one unit produces great, low cost lab quality photos. Kodak inks are the least expensive out there, and their papers are inexpensive too. The scanner is decent quality. The printer is a little noisy, nothing crazy. Love the auto paper handler that senses what type of document you’re printing and uses the appropriate paper. Had no problem setting things up over the network for both Mac OS X (Leopard) as well as Vista 64 (which transferred no problem to the Windows 7 beta I just upgraded to). Scans and prints over the network no problem.” – by Greg L. Stewart
Reliable, fast & great quality
“If you follow instructions (and they actually were well written) you should have it working out of the box within minutes. Everything works as advertised and the printing quality is great to good, depending on what paper you use. This is my second Kodak printer, and I am still using both. I’ve bought just about every make printer that I can think of and I can honestly say I have no regrets buying this one. “ – by An old soldier
Reliable, fast & great quality
“The quality is great for both documents and photos. I love the photo quality and I love the ability to print them at a moment’s notice. You go take pictures at the zoo that day and are able to play and manipulate them as you want to print out the same day with awesome quality. I’ve never seen better print quality, not even with an HP. “ – by SandaraKat
“Before I bought this printer I read most of the reviews. I was not sure what to do, some hated it and some loved it. I verified I could return it for 30 day’s and bought it. It has now been about 3 weeks and I love the printer. I’ve had NO problems. The wireless hookup went great, I loaded the drivers on my 3 PC’s @ home and off I went. I can’t tell you how much I enjoy being upstairs working on the laptop and having the ability to print. I’ve printed about 10 4×6 pictures and they came out great. I highly recommend this printer, I’ll come back if my decision changes as time goes on.” – by R. Steiner
Great for the Price
“Scanned some items, easy and quality of scan was excellent, printed photos from my Kodak easy share cx7530 on kodak 4×6 photo paper quality was great and print time was much faster then my bot my hp and epson photo printer, I then did some photo prints from a memory card also with excellent results was a little noisy but after I downloaded the updated firmware and newer version of the printer software and drivers it ran much quiter I ran the same print test using the software and also had excellent software , If you get this printer be sure to go to the kodak website and get the updated Firmware and software. “ – by Ranger 797
Great deal for a home printer
“However, as a couple-times-per-week home printer, this thing has a load of great features, is extremely easy to set up and keep tabs on ink levels, has great support for Macs, and has pretty nice print quality for the occasional photo printing. I was able to print out a photo my first try through Photoshop Elements without even consulting a manual.” – by Bryan Backas
True Photo Lab Quality at a great price
“these Kodak printers use pigmented inks and they also use a “gloss optimizer” that seals the final picture creating a virtual smudge & water proof print… and all this is contained in a 5 ink color tank. When you use these printers with the Kodak 5 star premium paper they were designed for, you end up with a finished portrait that will compete head to head with a traditional lab created picture in quality and durability.” – by R. L. STANTON
Great Printer, Dumb Design
“This is a very nice printer. Much faster than my Lexmark or HP. Noisy little sucker though. Prints both text and photos with a clarity and speed you just don’t see all the time. One real dumb design flaw. When you print a text (8.5 X 11 paper)as the paper exits the printer, the tray to catch this print is called the floor. I realize Kodak pushes this printer as a photo printer for 4 X 6 or 5 X 7 prints, but you would think someone in that big old company would realize that a customer just might print a full sized document.” – by Not Johnny Cash
“I am very impressed with this product. Put the printer on the house network with no problems, everyone can print from their computers. The setup was easy. I am very impressed with the duplexer it works great.” – by A Kid’s Review
