Kodak ESP 5250 Reviews

PCWorld reviews the Kodak ESP 5250 and writes;
“the ESP 5250 was only slightly faster than the ESP 3250, generating 4.7 pages per minute printing text, and 2.7 ppm printing graphics. Plain-paper prints were adequate: Text seemed charcoal rather than black, and images appeared slightly grainy.”
Rating: ★★★☆☆

PCMAG reviews the Kodak ESP 5250 and writes;
“The 5250’s results for output quality were also mixed, but in reverse—with high marks for business applications and relatively poor results for photos. In general, text quality is better than most inkjets, graphics are reasonably typical for the breed, and photos are at the low end of the scale..”
Rating: ★★★½☆

Pocket-lint reviews the Kodak ESP 5250 and writes;
“Print quality is good and so is the scan quality, copies are just okay though. The ease of set-up impressed me, particularly the wireless printing which took only a few minutes.”
Rating: ★★★★☆

Printercomparison reviews the Kodak ESP 5250 and writes;
“The Kodak ESP 5250 All-in-One printer does many things well: printing quality photos and documents, easy scan and photo software, good features, and cheap ink.”
Rating: ★★★☆☆

Pcadvisor reviews the Kodak ESP 5250 and writes;
“In our tests, the Kodak ESP 5250 was only slightly faster than the ESP 3250, generating 4.7 pages per minute printing text, and 2.7ppm printing graphics. Plain-paper prints were adequate: text seemed charcoal rather than black, and images appeared slightly grainy. However, using Kodak’s own photo paper, the same images dazzled – rivaling or surpassing output from the Canon Pixma MP560 and the HP Photosmart Plus, depending on the test. The ESP 5250’s scan and copy results were good overall, too.”
Rating: ★★★☆☆

Imaging-resource reviews the Kodak ESP 5250 and writes;
“Our first prints of the image were on lettersized Photo Paper matte and were pleasing. We later printed the same image on 4×6 Ultra Premium in High Gloss and were also delighted with the rich color rendition, accurately rendering what we had concocted on screen in Adobe Camera Raw. Pretty impressive for just four color inks.”

Trustedreviews reviews the Kodak ESP 5250 and writes;
“Kodak makes impressive claims for the economy of this and all its other all-in-one printers. The headline figure of 7p per 15 x 10cm print can be achieved, by using the Photo Value Pack, which provides paper and ink for 180 prints, but the standard photo paper is very thin and you may want to go for the Premium offering instead, which takes the cost per print to 10p. Still pretty good.”
Rating: ★★★½☆

Computershopper reviews the Kodak ESP 5250 and writes;
“Photo print quality is very good. Unlike many photo printers, the ESP line offers only one output quality for photos. Images are sharp and contrasty, with good details in both the highlights and shadow areas. Colors, although not entirely accurate, are pleasing and not overly saturated.”

Kodak ESP 5250 User Reviews

Awesome Printer, | Rating: ★★★★★
“After printing a test/alignment page, I decided my first print would be a photo. The printer came with 3 free pieces of 4×6 photo paper so I used one of those. I will say that the photo came out and was at lab quality. I highly recommend this printer to anyone looking for a great value as a printer/scanner/photo printer. I also had zero problems hooking it up to my network to print wireless. Feel free to ask any questions about this printer you have.” – by Van Byous jr

Low Ink Cost, | Rating: ★★★★☆
“This printer uses ink the is much less expensive and cartridges last long enough that I now have my default printing set to standard color. Works great. If you care about ink cost at all, this is your printer.” – by Richard Cornish

Heizenberg, | Rating: ★★★★☆
“Was skeptical about buying a Kodak given some bad reviews, but I was spending too much on ink and was in the market for a wireless printer. Very easy to set up with my apple wireless network. I had a HP previously which I hated. This printer is fantastic for the money and I would recommend it to anyone..” – by Heizenberg

Great printer, avoid online help chat., | Rating: ★★★★★
“The picture quality is better than what you would get at most places. The software that comes with it is the best I have seen for editing and fixing pictures, like color restoration. Very fast printing for regular paper and a pretty fast speed for picture printing. The LCD screen that pops up is very handy while scanning or using an SD memory card to print pictures or text..” – by Matthew Perkins

Nice quality | Rating: ★★★★☆
“I have had several inkjet printers in the past and would rate this one as one of my personal best. It was real easy to set up; quality is good; speed is good. I have only tested one photo which turned out great especially considering the economic level of this device…” – by BargainFinder13

6 ink kodak vs 6 ink HP head to head comparison, | Rating: ★★★★★
“After 2 weeks of usage, in a speed comparison between the HP and Kodak printers something surprising happened. If you print mostly black and white pages, you’ll be really happy with the kodak printers because they do black pages cheap and fast – very fast!. If the process includes color, or has black graphics containing shading, then the HP printer prints faster…” – by HMMWV

The Best Bang For The Buck! | Rating: ★★★★★
“I found this particular printer and found that it was also wireless; I decided since my daughter would be using this printer in her home business as well as my general email usage, that this would be the best choice. It should also be noted that because of this wireless feature it can be used with all of her computers.” – by Vee

Fast Printing and Scanning, | Rating: ★★★★☆
“The Print Quality can be set to Draft, Normal, or Best. Normal is the default mode. In Normal mode, the print quality is quite good (almost good enough for a resume). Surprisingly, the quality of the printing in *Draft* mode is almost as good as it is in Normal mode. The only difference, as far as I can tell, is that the printing done in the Draft mode is a smidge fainter.” – by Avid Reviewer

One Response to “Kodak ESP 5250”

  1. Paula Taylor says:

    Kodak used to mean quality to me and that is why I decided on this printer. This printer is a piece of SHIT. Print quality was only marginal and now, before a year is up, is breaks down and there is no one around here that fixes the product here in Orlando. It is now in the trash. This is why Kodak is going bankrupt….they have forgotten the customer and care more about the stockholder. I should have shipped the damn thing to the CEO as a doorstop.
