Kodak ESP 2170 Reviews

Digitaltrends reviews the Kodak ESP 2170 and writes;
“you can still get all of your home office needs taken care of with this device, and superior photo printing quality, which was easily one of the most impressive elements of the printer. The Pic Flick app and wireless functionality also make a good argument for the 2170.”

Expertreviews reviews the Kodak ESP 2170 and writes;
“The printer shares the C310’s foibles: its black text exhibited subtle horizontal ‘tearing’, and we couldn’t eliminate the borders from photos. We also noticed some banding in colour graphics on plain paper and in photos, but overall the quality was acceptable for office use. The scanner is better, and subtly improved over that in the C310. Its speeds were quite reasonable on all but our 1,200dpi resolution test, and although the focus of images wasn’t as sharp as we’d like, colours were accurate and there was noticeably better preservation of the lightest and darkest details of the originals.”

Computershopper reviews the Kodak ESP 2170 and writes;
“When printing photographs, the ESP Office 2170 held its own, turning in print times comparable to most AIOs in this class. It printed our 4×5-inch image in 56.5 seconds and our 8.5×11-inch photo in 2 minutes and 7 seconds, both in Best mode. These speeds are quite respectable. Epson’s WorkForce 310, for example, took 3 minutes and 18 seconds to print the 4×6-inch image in Best mode, and Canon’s $149.99 Pixma MX420 took 4 minutes and 31 seconds to print the 8.5×11-inch photo. And it’s worth repeating again that the ESP Office 2170 prints excellent-quality photos.”

CNET reviews the Kodak ESP 2170 and writes;
“The photo print came out the best out of all the tests, with acceptable saturation levels for business documents. Scan quality also came out well, but retained the dark compression issues we saw in the C310’s prints. Finally, the color scan produced accurate results–if, perhaps, a little too bright–but the overall impression was sharp and defined.”
Rating: ★★★☆☆

PCMAG reviews the Kodak ESP 2170 and writes;
“Output quality followed a similar pattern, with the 2170 doing its best work on photos. More precisely, it scored above par for photo quality and on par for text and graphics. For text, that means the output is suitable for most business use as long as you don’t need small fonts or the kind of crisp edges that you can get only from a laser printer.”
Rating: ★★★★☆

Trustedreviews reviews the Kodak ESP 2170 and writes;
“Most of the key selling points for Kodak all-in-ones over the competition are still present in the ESP Office 2170. Print quality is good, though not the best, and running costs are low. While print speeds are not as good as from the previous range, the feature set is strong, with support for both business and photo functions. Certainly one to consider.”

Kodak ESP 2170 User Reviews

Fabulous mid level office printer
“First off, I think the print quality is fantastic, and the low cost of color and black ink along with the availability of a color XL cartridge is great for photos and color printing. The wireless was easily the easiest WIFI setup I’ve experienced. I did my WIFI setup using my Sprint 4G Wireless Hotspot – no problem! My favorite feature is the back loading paper tray… With this printer, the back loading paper tray doesn’t bend the paper, it just puts it through in a straight path from back to front, like a fax machine. That makes big print jobs hum for me, and I like the design a lot better. Also like that it’s not a huge machine. Overall, I primarily use my printer to print lots of black and photos…this printer does it very well and at a great cost.” – by Mark

Just what I wanted
“I bought this a couple of weeks ago and I really do like it!! Set up was easy, except for the wireless part. My AVG virus program wouldn’t let it on my wirless so I had to work with tech support. That did take a long long time for them to figure it out but at last they did. I find this printer easy to navigate, and very user friendly. I am not very tech savy but this printer is just what I had hoped it would be… I use it more for copy and faxing..I haven’t tested the picture quality yet. Out of the box set up was very easy! I am looking forward to the lower ink cartridge prices too.” – by I say
