Kodak EasyShare Z885 Reviews

PhotographyReview reviews the Kodak EasyShare Z885 and writes;
“After spending a fair amount of time with the Kodak Z885, I just can’t bring myself to recommend it. I think people that are looking for a $200 digital camera should look at a different camera or consider spending more.”

ImagingResource reviews the Kodak EasyShare Z885 and writes;
“Image quality is good up to about ISO 400, with reasonable clarity considering the 8-megapixel resolution, but noise suppression starts to tamp detail down from ISO 200 on up. Prints from the Kodak Z885 look good at ISO 400 up to 8×10, and ISO 1,600 is usable for 4×6″
Rating: N/A

PopPhoto reviews the Kodak EasyShare Z885 and writes;
“The menu system is the Kodak EasyShare standard — clear, concise, and very legible. And every menu item has a help screen at the press of a button. Both program and manual exposure modes are quick and uncomplicated to use.”

ePhotozine reviews the Kodak EasyShare Z885 and writes;
“ISO100 does start to show a little noise which is disappointing, but there is little difference between ISO100 and ISO200. ISO400 has a breakdown on the image and the petals have gone a brighter orange which remains constant at ISO800 with more noise on the card. ISO1600 shows a considerable amount of noise and ISO3200 has input lots of red and purple pixels making the picture deteriorate considerably”
Rating: ★★★☆☆

Megapixel reviews the Kodak EasyShare Z885 and writes;
“The 5X optical zoom of the Z885 is excellent. Even when used at the widest aperture and the widest angle, it offers good sharpness around the centre of the frame, and only the corners are a touch softer. Past the widest angle, sharpness is quickly uniform from corner to corner and at the maximum telephoto, images are tack-sharp.”
Rating: ★★★★☆

CNET.UK reviews the Kodak EasyShare Z885 and writes;
“The Kodak EasyShare Z885 sports a more powerful lens than other compact cameras and allows you to shoot in program and manual modes. But its sluggish performance and appearance of noise in high-ISO shots leaves a lot to be desired”
Rating: ★★★☆☆
