Cameras.co.uk reviewed the Kodak EasyShare C360 at Pocket-lint and wrote:

“This camera produces very strong colours, but images can be a little on the dark side away from the centre of a photo when the zoom lens is not being used. The outdoor portrait is another photo I am pleased with. Colours and skin tones show up well and by using the flash on a cold day the camera manages to add some warmth to the picture.

Moving indoors the camera struggles. Both of my test shots are not sharply focused. This is obviously a drawback. All you can really do to try and compensate for this weakness is to make sure any indoor or lowlight scenes are as well lit as possible. “

Doug Harman reviewed the Kodak EasyShare C360 at Pocket-lint and wrote:

“THE GOOD: Nice styling with a neat compact design, bright crisp images, easy to use
THE BAD: Barrel distortion at 34mm wide end of the 3x optical zoom lens, blown out highlights in brighter shots

Given the (just) sub £200 price and more than adequate specification, not to mention you have 5 million pixels to play with, the C360 is not a bad little camera. Ideal for snaps rather than studied shots, the C360 is a nice model from Kodak, but it is at large in a world populated by many, many, equally as nice (or better) small, digital cameras. It is in for a fight…”

Steve reviewed the Kodak EasyShare C360 at Steve’s Digicams and wrote:

“The C360’s shooting performance was fairly responsive except for its buffer speed. Power up to first image captured measured 3.7 seconds. Shutter lag measured 1/10 of a second when pre-focused and 4/10 of a second including autofocus; add 1/10 second to those times when using the LCD viewfinder because of the delay in presenting the live image. Rapid shooting in single shot mode captured 5 images at 1.5 second intervals, with subsequent shots coming at 5 second intervals. With flash, the capture rate slowed to intervals of from 1.5 to 8 seconds depending on subject distance.

The Kodak EasyShare system is a tempting option for families wanting point-n-shoot simplicity with ease of home printing. The C360’s automatic and scene modes produce pleasing 5-megapixel images without any fuss. Combine it with the EasyShare Printer Dock, and you’ll produce photo lab-quality 4×6 prints, and do it without using an image editor or photo printing application. With a combined street price of under $400, the C360 and Printer Dock Series 3 combination represents a very good value, demanding little in terms of your knowledge and dollars, but producing a lot in terms of quality and fun.”

James Murray reviewed the Kodak EasyShare C360 at Digital Camera info and wrote:

“The C360 is a suitable alternative for the point-and-shoot crowd, particularly when bundled with the Series 3 Printer Dock. The EasyShare C360 is equipped with a 1/2.5 inch 5 megapixel CCD and 3x optical all glass lens that creates sharp images with impressive clarity. The camera offers snapshooters 16 custom image presets, in-menu help options, easily legible bold font face, and 32MB of internal memory. Although the camera has limited manual controls, the interface is designed for the less photographically-engaged user, providing an opportunity to take and print images in just two buttons. Other than the camera’s substandard color reproduction, the $379.95 package is a strong value. Without the printer, there are many other alternatives within the $250 - $300 price bracket that will provide more shooting flexibility and control but can only hope to parallel the camera in simplicity.”

Cliff Smith reviewed the Kodak EasyShare C360 at Trusted Reviews and wrote:

“The optical quality of the Kodak Retinar lens is especially praiseworthy. It suffers from none of the edge distortion common to so many compact zoom lenses, and produces excellent contrast, sharpness and detail right across the frame. There is some slight barrel distortion at wide angle, but not enough to cause a problem. The only slight hiccup is the auto white balance, which like many such systems can be fooled by large areas of a single colour in the frame. This is easy to rectify by simply using the appropriate manual white balance setting. Other than that picture quality is exemplary, and makes the C360 an outstanding choice for the first time user.

With it’s user-friendly appeal, ease of use and excellent performance and results this C360 is a great camera for the first-time digital user. More experienced users will find its limited range of options restricting, and the helpful messages get annoying after a while. Also it earns a big slap on the wrist for the lack of an off-switch for the digital zoom.”
