Kodak EasyShare 5300 Reviews
Thinkcamera reviews the Kodak EasyShare 5300 and writes;
“Overall, the Kodak EasyShare 5300 all-in-one makes a good impression. The print quality and speed is impressive, and the copying features work well enough for a combined device. The scanner is a little disappointing, though it can deliver reasonable images. It’s easy to imagine life with just a camera and the 5300, and that’s high praise indeed.”
Pocket-lint reviews the Kodak EasyShare 5300 and writes;
“Text quality is okay on good inkjet paper, but plain A4 paper text becomes fuzzier round the edges but acceptable fro most writing tasks nonetheless. Overall, then you have a user-friendly device that saves money over time on consumables and provides results that are well above average.”
MACworld reviews the Kodak EasyShare 5300 and writes;
“The Kodak EasyShare 5300’s impressive performance in printing, scanning, and copying adds up to a solid all-around device, and the low cost to refill it with ink adds extra value. Despite the flaws I found in its scanner software, the EasyShare 5300 is an impressive MFP that represents a strong start for Kodak in the consumer ink-jet printer market.”
ITreviews reviews the Kodak EasyShare 5300 and writes;
“Considering the price of the Kodak and the impressive performance on offer we still liked the 5300, despite the odd error or two. There’s enough going for it to make this forgivable on an occasional basis, it’s particularly impressive in its photo capabilities and it performs solidly in most other areas.”
Hubpages reviews the Kodak EasyShare 5300 and writes;
“The scanner on the Kodak 5300 is pretty fast and accurate though it maxes out at 1200 dpi. It does not give many options about what you can do with your scans and the software does not include any character recognition programs. One nice feature is that you can place several photos on the scanner bed and it will scan the images in one pass and separate the images into different files.”
Imaging-resource reviews the Kodak EasyShare 5300 and writes;
“The jury is still out on the 5000 Series. But not on Kodak’s inkjet technology. They’re winners. And we look forward to perhaps simpler printers that make them available to do what they do best: produce excellent quality prints that last forever for much less money than competing products.”
PCMag reviews the Kodak EasyShare 5300 and writes;
“Photo prints were good enough to count as true photo quality in almost all cases, despite some visible dithering in the form of subtle graininess. The one exception was a monochrome photo, which showed a slight tint, but that won’t be an issue if you don’t care about monochrome photos. The photos are also highly water resistant, so you can pass them around on a hot humid day without worrying about someone smudging them with moist hands.”
Trustedreviews reviews the Kodak EasyShare 5300 and writes;
“As the first model in a new range of all-in-ones – the 5500 will be along soon, too – the Kodak EasyShare 5300 makes a lot of good design moves. It’s easy to use, comes with well-written software and produces good quality photo prints, quickly. Although the print cost of 7p is not for the highest quality prints this machine can produce, even those will only set you back 10p, still substantially cheaper than from Kodak’s main rivals.”
CNET reviews the Kodak EasyShare 5300 and writes;
“The black text print showed mostly well-formed characters, though we saw some blips and fuzzy edges. The color graphics prints displayed smooth color gradients and detailed photo elements. Curved lines revealed some minor jagginess and though color blocks show nice saturation, they were also slightly grainy. The 4×6 color photo quality shows it to be serviceable enough for casual snapshots. Details were sharp and colors looked true, though they didn’t pop.”
Kodak EasyShare 5300 User Reviews
A real sleeper
“I have owned my Kodak 5300 for about a week now and have done all sorts of printing with it. It is a solid, high quality unit. Over the years I have had at least a dozen different printers. At present I also have a Canon MP600, which I compare it to. The Kodak wins hands down on ease of use. Quality of prints is about even.” – by T. Fonte
A Great Printer, Set-up was easy
“I have used all the functions, including the scanner and copier, and I couldn’t be happier. I even printed directly off my SD card. I am not the most computer savvy person and I found this printer very intuitive. For the cost of ink, a good photo printer, a color copier, and scanner I think this printer is a great deal! I will also add this is my first review, but after all the negative reviews about this printer I felt compelled to share my positive experience.” – by M. Becker
Don’t let the bad reviews persuade you
“I was pretty nervous about purchasing this product due to some of the bad reviews on Amazon, Best Buy and others. However, after being very careful about reading the instructions before trying to install the printer (something I almost never do), and by taking some advice from unhappy buyers, I got my printer to install correctly and I love the printer! The photo quality is excellent, and I love that I’m not going to pay as much for ink as I did for my printer.” – by Raleighreef
Kodak all in one
“I purchased the kodak 5300 All in one printer. It has great picture quality and prints fast. However, I have had to call and have 1 part replaced and now the complete printer must be replaced. Kodak has been very helpful and courteous. They have fixed the problems in a timely manner. The printer is only a month old though.” – by J. Swift
Print all your little hearts content
“Now the printer its self is VERY easy to use and very easy on ink. The color ink is 14.99 and Black ink is 9.99 and because the ink cartilage has got foam in them they have better control on the amount of ink being used, saving you on ink making your money go farther than ever before. I have used my printer everyday for photos, projects, and just basic use and have yet to even go threw half of the ink, and for once I am not worried about it because the ink is very inexpensive. I would recommend this product to everyone and have even suggested to family and friends to invest. You will not regret it.” – by Angel D. Krupia
“This is a good printer for photographs. Crisp and clear when printed on photo paper but bleeds badly on plain paper when color printing. It scans well in both color and black and white. It copies well in black and white. The ink jet cartridges are a little pricey and you have to have both in or it won’t work. Good machine for home and small business needs.” – by Billie Warren Chai
Reviews helped a lot
“After reading everyones negative reviews I went and bought this printer anyway. I READ the instructions AND followed them and had absolutely no problems. I didn’t use the CD to install the software just went to Kodak’s site to get the latest and greatest drivers and firmware(which is in the instructions also) and let the printer install itself. This really is a no brainer printer follow the directions and it works great right out of the box. Nice pictures and cheap ink I’ll recomend this printer to everyone. “ – by gman204
Kodak All in One is Great
“I bought this printer for my 76 year old mother and was very impressed with how easy it was for her to use. After a bit of a print head problem (easily fixed with reinstallation) we were on our way. The actual printer was much easier for her to understand then myself an experienced hardware and gadget guru. Don’t over think the Easy printer and you will be fine. It is far easier to maneuver around then some of the high end printers I am accustomed to plus you get far more for your money. Mom has been printing hundreds of pictures as she is making photo albums for her 10 children and has just had to replace the ink cartridge. We would highly reccomend this product to everyone young and old.” – by Joann M. Feig
“I love the Kodak all in one, But I did find like many others, that the software was hard to get installed.. had to go online and download new software and it didn’t install totally right, but everything on the Printer works fine. The ink is so much better priced and easy to live with, Makes great Pictures as well. So I would recommend the Kodak 5300 with just a small heads up about the software. “ – by Okie
