Brings nature up close
“This teleconverter really zoomed in my pictures! Took pics of baby eagles, and horses running! But, you REALLY need steady hands or a tripod, if you are adding it to an already long lens (as I did)–otherwise, things will be blurry. I am glad that I purchased it!” – by M. GLOVER
Kenko 3X Pro teleconverter
“It has been really doing what I was expecting (deffinetly for the price) except one thing. The AF didn’t work on my Canon 70-200mm f2.8 IS lens. (I tried all possible AF settings with both Canon350D, 30D, and Canon 5D) According with Kenko’s specifications AF can be achieved with this tele-converter as long as the lens is f2.8 or faster. Also I have to lower my rating because the housing is made of plastic (but as I said it’s very inexpensive)” – by Laszlo

Kenko PRO 300 3.0X Specifications
For those times that you need extreme reach of a distant subject, Kenko offers the Teleplus Pro 300 3x DG teleconverter, designed to give optimal results with fixed focal length lenses of 100mm or more.
Corner resolution is stellar and deterioration of light is kept to the absolute minimum. Due to the 3 stop light loss inherent in a 3x converter, Kenko PRO 300 3.0X has no AF capability. The lens must be focused manually.
Teleplus converters have genuine Gate Array IC (Integrated Circuitry). It means that the converter’s unique circuitry maintains signal integrity between the camera body and lens. These converters are designed to electronically operate the same way an original manufacturer’s converter would provided there is enough light available.
Note! Canon EF-S lenses are not compatible. Kenko does not recommend these converters for lenses that have a zoom range that starts under 50mm.
This DG teleconverter has upgraded “Gate-Array IC” circuitry to work better with digital SLR’s and some of the digital SLR lenses*. This means that the converter’s unique circuitry maintains signal integrity between the camera body and lens.
The Teleplus PRO 300 converter is made with high quality multicoated optical glass supplied by Hoya, the world’s largest manufacturer of optical glass. All elements are multicoated on each surface.
