Kata T-214 GDC User Reviews
“I can carry my Rebel XTi with a 70-200 f/2.8 IS lens attached, and still have two extra sections inside the bag. The outside pouches are very handy for cards, pens, and extra stuff.” – By Hanabal Khaing
Good small bag for fast photos
“I have tried this bag for a month now and find it good to carry and give you fast access to your SLR. I use a Nikon D80 with two lenses and it fits fine in the bag. A negative thing is that you can’t pack anything else than the camera and small camera stuff like batteries, filters and so on, no place for anything else. The good thing I like about it is the fact that you have very quick access to the camera, just flip it in front of you and open up. “ – By T. Lonngren
best bag ever
“This is by far the best camera bag i have ever had! its small enough to take out to clubs or urban exoloring, yet big enough for my camera, 2 lens, a 580exII, a wireless transmitter and all my small gear like cleaning rags and such. It functions like a sling bag, so acessing your camera takes seconds, but has a second strap that tightly secures the bag to your body[think of an upside down Y shape]. the double zipper is held together by a break apat connector, so it cant get caught on things.” – By Warren Whitmore
“This bag is awesome in style, function, and space. I cant explain how it seems to carry more than bags twice its size, but I have a Canon 40D with grip, 17-85 IS, 70-300 Sigma, and 50mm inside the bag. Also have 420Ex flash, 8 pack of AA, lens pen, few CF cards, manuals, filters, CF-USB reader, Opteka neoprene strap, and a bunch of lens cloths. There is still lots of room, and finding anything does not require rummaging around. “ – By Warren Liick
Good bag but not a lot of headroom
“The bag itself is built extremely well. Padding is all over which makes me feel entirely safe with my camera in it. I use a Canon 40D whose body is slightly too big for the space designed for it. If I had a Rebel or something of similar size I would have no complaints. It’s a little hard to close because of how tight it is in there. The 40D is similar to a Nikon D300 in size if that helps. “ – By Christopher Moncus
“I bought the T-214 for my Sony A700 camera with vertical grip, several lenses, and Somy HVL-F42AM flash. I am able to fit them in this arrangement: flash in its case inside the shallow end of the bag, 2 Minolta prime lens (28mm and 50mm) in the middle compartment, and the camera with Minolta 70-210 f4 (beercan) in the deep end, lens pointing down. The vertical grip made the camera much bigger so it’s a tight fit trying to close the flap but not so much of stretching the bag and zipper. I also carry several AA batteries in the front pocket and Lumiquest diffuser in the back pocket. I’m also able to attach a Manfrotto monopod through the strap above the cellphone pocket on the side. If you have more gear or larger lens, this bag might be too small for you. Carrying the bag loaded with my gear is very comfortable. The thickly padded strap distribute the weight nicely and can be adjusted to my liking. “ – By GSRpilot
“This is a great bag within its niche as a sling that rotates from front to back. In general I am happy with my purchase. The bag easily takes my DSLR + 80-200, + 18-200 + flash with room left over for at least a third small prime lens. It rotates easily and provides good access.” – By Deborah L. Wagner
“This product works great. Everything fits nicely, and yet the pack is not huge. A bit cramped if you include a large speed light along with 2 lenses and charging stuff. All in all I’m happy with my choice. “ – By Patrick E. Scanlon
