Perfect shooting bag
“The H16 is a perfect bag for a Pro DSLR or a DSLR with the grip attached. It can hold a 70-200 lends attached, and has space for another lens and/or a flash in the outside pockets. It can go on a belt, however the included strap is extremely comfortable and actually seems to lighten the weight of the camera in the bag. We used this bag for long walks where we needed to keep the camera in the bag to protect it from dust and moisture, and yet have it ready to quickly shoot that next great image…” – By photoartist

Works as advertised
“I was looking for a sling type case, durable, that would hold my D700 w/grip, one more lens and the SB900. It holds all of that and a few more small items. Takes a little practice but I can open it with one hand very quickly, the body has to be placed as instructions say or it doesn’t work. Like the quality build esp. the strap.” – By Taaguy

We have a winner, the Kata H-16
“The main compartment is big enough to fit my Canon 40D & BG-E2N battery grip with an attached 70-200mm lens. The two side pockets expand into the case, and each can hold a 70-200mm lens, a pair of smaller lenses, or an external flash with no problem. With a smaller lens attached, there is room in the bottom of the bag for additional items. The clear pocket inside the lid is perfect for items such as memory card, cleaning wipes, and the like. Another small interior pocket is useful for holding extra batteries and body and lens caps. There is also an exterior pocket on the back, which I use to hold camera CDs and manuals…” – By K. Aldrich

H-16 fits SLR upside down – nice
“The nicest feature of the H-16 for me is, it fits my SLR upside down. (Olympus E300 with Zuiko 11-22mm) This puts the heaviest part, the camera, at the bottom of the bag. And grabbing the camera by the big lens to pull it out, works great. The shoulder cushion can be shifted along the strap. This seem to be a new feature. Years ago, I bought a smaller version of this bag, where the shoulder cushion could not be shifted. “ – By Rolf Bertram

great holster bag – slight upsize from H14
“This is typically the top quality, well thought out bag from Kata. I also own the Kata H14 which is in constant use. My husband takes it on his motorcycle, it is thrown in the back of the car, etc. The padding and hard material offer the greatest protection for the size of the bag that is available. I find that for my DSLR with a large telephoto with lens plate, the H-16 is the correct size for easy access. It is slightly larger but not too big – has the great bright yellow interior so you can see inside easily, etc. If you like the H-14 you will LOVE the H-16. The H-16 and H-14 also have very comfortable straps, which often is not the case for a bag this size. “ – By M. ANNE
