Shutterphoto reviews the Kata DR-466i and writes;
“The Kata DR-466i is a solid bag that would be suitable for anyone with a fair amount of equipment. It can comfortably hold a good deal of gear without growing bulky. I was skeptical of the rucksack design – I wasn’t sure that the lenses and camera would be easy enough to access from the bottom compartment – but this bag surely changed my mind. The bottom panel of the upper compartment is strong and rigid enough that even with extra weight up there, the camera compartment opens and closes effortlessly.”

Well thought out camera backpack
“In this backpack I can hold my Canon EOS 40D with attached EF-S 17-85mm lens, a EF 50mm lens, a EF 75-300mm lens, filters, charger, batteries, memory cards, plus several other small accessories and still leaving plenty of space in the top compartment for personal items. In the laptop compartment I can fit my 13″ Apple Macbook or my iPad and I can also attach a drinking bottle or small tripod to the side of the bag using the stow-able pouch.” – By froschy

Incredible size
“I can fit my 7d with grip, three lens including the 70-300, a MacBook pro 15.4″, an iPad, and still have a half empty bag for additional lens or other stuff. Great bag and good quality material. Very well designed!” – By George

Great Bag
“I ordered this bag for a new Nikon D5000 camera and a few lenses. I currently have the body, the kit lens, a 28mm prime, a 70-300 zoom and an old kit lens from another camera all in the protected pocket and there is still space left for another lens if I get one. The upper pocket holds loads of material too, easily a few books, cell phone, etc. I’ve already taken the bag with me on a trip and it fits in a plane cabin under the seat with no problem. Overall, the quality seems great and I am extremely happy with my purchase. “ – By A. Leduc

Surprisingly packs a lot for a compact bag
“At first, I thought that I would have a difficult time fitting all the contents in my camera bag and old backpack inside this. However, it was no sweat. I was able to fit my Canon 50D with 28-135mm attached w/ lens hood, plus my 50mm 1.8, my 430 EX II flash, the camera’s battery charger, my 15″ Unibody Macbook Pro, the laptop charger, portable external hard drive, various cables, and some adapters. I’ve still got room for at least 3 more lenses, a tripod, and a water bottle!..” – By Paul V. Evangelista
