HP PSC 2175 Reviews

PCWorld reviews the HP PSC 2175 and writes;
“The PSC 2175 impressed us with good print quality in most areas. On plain paper, it produced very attractive gray-scale photos and detailed, sharply focused color photos; it even managed to print narrow parallel lines that didn’t bleed together. Using the optional photo-ink cartridge, the PSC 2175 produced superb glossy photos in best quality setting, and did so in less than two-and-a-half minutes?43 percent faster than the test-set average. Our panel also judged its scan quality near the top of the pack.”

HP PSC 2175 User Reviews

A pleasant surprise
“I’ve found buying printers very frustrating over the years. I had a poor experience years ago with an HP and an equally frustrating time with a Xerox Multifunction more recently. Both were top down and both ate paper. After too many months of feeding one sheet at a time, it was time for a change. Was reluctant to go with an ink jet as I’ve only bought laser before. Spent months looking and eventually decided on this model vs $… more for the 2210. It’s a pleasure. The design is excellent. Scanning, copying and printing are more than acceptable. The machine is suprisingly quiet. For those of you who are on the verge, take the plunge. If you’re going to fax frequently, go for the 2210.” – by Crunch Solutions

“I just recently bought my hp psc 2175 and I love all the features it has. I have printed a lot of pictures and the quality is great. The digital camera slots is the one feature that I really like. It is also great to copy without the computer on. I only wish the cartridges were larger. HP is a good product.” – by A Customer

“If you’re not into printing photos for framing at home, no problem, this printer is fantastic at being a simple inkjet printer. It’s very fast printing color documents, and extremely fast at plain black text (faster than my samsung laser). It also does something that I’ve wanted inkjets to do for a long time: self alignment. It has some sort of light (laser or otherwise???) detection device inside that allows it to print a page of lines and patterns, scan them for alignment and adjust itself for optimal printing…” – by Paul McLanahan

This is a great value
“I followed the set up instructions very carefully to avoid the problems others had. It went without a glitch until I rebooted and got a black screen instead of my desktop. I shut down the laptop and disconnected the USB. Remember to turn the printer off before rebooting. When I started the laptop again, all was fine. So far everything is working great: scans photos fast and they look perfect even on regular paper, printed business docs, made copies, all come out great. I have yet to try printing photos from a Smart Media card. This machine is so easy to operate and doesn’t take much room at all – I definitely recommend it.” – by A Customer

Excellent printer
“Recommended this unit & set it up for my mother-in-law. The print quality is great, and the printer detects paper type automatically (no more mistaken settings on photo paper!!). The card reader is a boon, especially since her old card reader stopped working after an OS upgrade. The supplied software is a little creaky on OS X but it still is an incredible value for the money.” – by Michael T. Rose

Very pleased w/ the printer so far
“It’s very user friendly and gives very good copies and photos. We had the older PSC 750 w/ its photo editing software. I was pleased to see that HP has tweaked the software and improved the “remove red eye” function. We own a HP computer w/ memory card slots. I think it’s one of the best features of the computer. I’m looking forward to being able to use the printer in the same way. No more fussing w/ a USB cable and the software.” – by J. Davis

Great printer- I’m impressed
“This printer is really fantastic! I mostly use mine to print documents and photographs. It prints photos on regular copy paper which are so perfect that when I frame them, they truly look like “real” photographs. What a great way to get very inexpensive photos printed, in any size you like! Additionally, the quality of B&W and color prints are excellent. No complaints at all. I love that this machine has a copier- it’s very, very convenient. No more running to Kinko’s for a quick copy of important documents. This does the trick in seconds. I love that. The scanner is useful, too- for example if you have a photo you want to duplicate. You can just scan it and print as many as you like.” – by S.D.Northwest

Excellent multifunction printer
“Highly recommend this printer. Scan, print (B&W and color photos, graphics and text) are superb. Set up is easy. I experienced no setup problems nor have I had any problems since. Also, I purchased a refurb PSC2175. I recommend considering an HP PSC2175 refurb over new. It comes in an HP box labeled “refurb” with everything packaged as new. Sealed print cartridges, etc. I paid $72 for mine (including shipping). Just make sure that if you go the refurb route, it is “factory” refurbished by HP and not some third party vendor. The HP factory refurbs come with the same warranty as a new PSC2175 and are guaranteed by HP to meet new printer specs. I am very impressed by the quality of the this printer in every area, especially considering the price.” – by Rusyn1
