HP Photosmart C4780 Reviews

Printercomparison reviews the HP Photosmart C4780 and writes;
“Now that I’ve reviewed the Photosmart C4780, I can say with confidence that it would be a great companion for any student. It’s wireless, compact and good-looking; it is also functional and relatively cheap. Yes, the print speeds were slower than advertised and the text could have been sharper but the fact that C4780 will keep printing even after a cartridge expires is a huge plus for any student on a deadline.”

Pocket-lint reviews the HP Photosmart C4780 and writes;
“It’s clear from out tests and living with the C4780 that it’s a “I’ve got a printer for the odd print” kind of printer rather than aimed at someone who still believes in paper. The standard document printing is good enough for the odd letter, homework, or document you want to reference and the photo element will be good enough to share prints but not really to frame.”

Computershopper reviews the HP Photosmart C4780 and writes;
“Image quality is fair to good. Text in Best mode is dark but soft, with the characters lacking clean, straight delineations. The characters are slightly sloppy in Normal mode, and slightly wobbly in Fast Draft mode. Still, text is quite readable, even down to 4 points. Solid colors in business graphics are somewhat mottled, though the colors are good. Photos printed on plain paper are very good, especially skin tones.”

PCWorld reviews the HP Photosmart C4780 and writes;
“Attractive, easy-to-use controls and decent output quality might be enough to recommend the HP Photosmart C4780–if the cost of ink weren’t so high. It could be a passable choice if you need wireless and don’t print much.”

User Opinions

HP Photosmart C4780 User Reviews

Impressive printer for the price
“The display panel is a quality touch screen, but it is not an advanced touch screen (lacks detailed configurability), so you do need to connect with USB to configure the wireless settings. However, it has an excelent web-interface with a scanning feature that doesn’t even require added software. It is easy to use, and the speed is fantastic. There is little to no delay from the point I click print to the point paper starts coming out, which is impressive any way you look at it from a wireless network.” – by Casey DeLorme

HP C 4780 business and home use
“Have been using HP Photosmart C4780 all in one printer for about a month. Easy setup and performance has been very good. Printer is quiet and design is streamline. Printing quality is very good and fast and uses only two cartriges. Just right for home/office use. Just one small con, the touch screen could be larger. “ – by Peter Dal Poggetto

Great little printer
“We upgraded from an aging, dreadfully slow Photosmart and are completely satisfied with this printer that was so inexpensive. The wireless feature means we can print from the laptops as well as the iMac and frees up a USB port. Setup was mindblowingly simple for one as un-technical as myself – I couldn’t believe I’d done it so quickly. The print quality is great and the scanned documents are superb.” – by Hamish G. Park

Almost Perfect
“This product is a replacement for a printer that I had owned for about five years. It still worked fine but it was slow and it was not wireless. Enter HP photosmart and everythying changed, the speed is great, the simplicity of operation is top notch, it is wireless and both of my computer have been paired with it. The scanning and copying features is naturally a plus. A GREAT MACHINE.” – by Horse

An Excellent All-in-One Printer
“I have had this printer for only a short time, but so far it has proved to be an excellent product. I have used it in all its functions: printing, scanning, copying, and the results are great for all uses. Both type and pictures are sharp and clear, with perfect color tones. I don’t know how long the ink tanks last, but so far I am still on the first ones. The Amazon price was also very good and the shipping was very quick, as usual. Setup was relatively easy. I am quite pleased overall. “ – by Leonard L. Wilson

Works from my Laptop – Vista 64
“My household is using this wirelessly from my laptop w/ Windows Vista 64bit. I had to set it up a second time, cause something went ascew the first time. But after I added the other PC’s to my laptop (via network settings on flashdrive), everyone can use this printer without any problems. The #60 cartridges drain quicker than my old Photosmart all in one. After pricing around, I plan to get the 60XL COLOR cartridges online and the regular BLACK double pack from W-M. I have no problem scanning using the HP software. It works quite well. I’ve scanned various documents, newspaper clippings and photos. And I copy without any issues.” – by deb

HP C4780 Photosmart printer
“The printer works fine. Photo quality is good. Wireless capability means that it could be put in another room, out of the way, and still be convenient. Setting up the wireless connection proved to be a little challenging.” – by Charles E. Conrad

Good Printer
“I bought this printer when Windows 7 refused to cooperate with my old printer. Since I have multiple computers, the wireless feature is convenient and works well. Set up went well and was easy enough, although many steps were not useful to me and were a waste of time. Print quality is ok, almost as good as my old Dell printer which was about the same price. This printer is loud and clunky while it is working, but does an ok job. It’s a good printer and wireless is really nice.” – by Longmont

Excellent Product from HP
“I have never had a printer better than this. It is reliable, fast, and has great printing quality. It does everything, including photo printing, very well. My $400 printer was not nearly as good as this one. The photos are nice and clear. The printer responds well when I print things from the computer. It is quiet as well. It has not jammed at all. I have not used the wireless option, so I cannot describe how well it works. It is quiet. The copies are clear as well as the scans. It is a simple printer, and sometimes simple products work better than complicated ones.” – by M. Harris
