HP PhotoSmart 7760 Reviews
PCWorld reviews the HP PhotoSmart 7760 and writes;
“Like many photo-oriented inkjets, the 7760 doesn’t deliver top quality on other kinds of print jobs. Black text on ordinary paper looked clean enough but somewhat grayish. On ordinary paper, color prints lacked detail, especially in highlights and shadows; colors seemed washed out, and transitions between shades looked rough.”
Digitaltrends reviews the HP PhotoSmart 7760 and writes;
“At a reasonable price, the HP Photosmart 7760 truly offers high performance photo printing and is versatile enough to handle small office printing. This flexible and attractive printer easily accommodates the needs of most home or small office users whether it is high-quality color photo prints or speedy black and white documents.”

A perfect printer
“The printing is absolutely wonderful! The colors and hues are so rich, it looks like you are there in person. The blue sky is as blue on the picture as it was in person! Same with all the other colors! I have not run into any problems with little stars or black lines appearing on my pictures, and since I installed it about two hours ago, I have printed more than 50 4×6 prints using the HP Premium Photo Plus glossy paper. The prints are instantly smudge-proof, but take longer time to dry if you want to put them in an album (especially the ones with the dark colors). I feel the quality is equal to that os lab processed prints.” – by “lsoz1081″
“I had to run to Walmart because I forgot to order the USB printer cable. After I hooked the printer up to the computer which took about 10 minutes ( includes the unpacking of the printer ). I took out all the pictures that I had and WOW the quality is unheard off. I mean the pictures are just so clear and pure quality. The printer pretty much started on it’s own.” – by Anthony
Excellent printer – paid $129 at Costco
“Best photo printer I ever have owned. Easy set-up. Quick printing, great colors, love the little LCD screen that shows the picture as it prints. Reads directly from compact flash card; no computer needed. Ink and paper are expensive, but I’m worth it.” – by A Customer
It’s an excellent photo printer for light-average use
“First, this is not meant as anything other than a photo printer; it may or not be able to print text and graphics, but that’s not it’s main function. It’s main function is to print high quality photos, which it does well. The photo quality is certainly very good even at the default settings (the only ones I’ve used). Outlines are crisp, colors are clear, there’s no blurring *unless your photography skills put it in there…*” – by W. Paul W.
Excellent printer and I bought it refurbished for $93
“I love this printer it’s great,looks cool, and does a good job. I just have to figure out this 4×6 slot that looks like a 4×6 paper would go.” – by TheGrahamShop
Great all-purpose printer
“Right after I bought this, my 5-year old laser died, so I started using the 7760 as a temporary all-purpose printer. I was so impressed, I decided against buying another laser printer. The “fast draft mode” provides nice quality for everyday document and web page printing; very sharp for black & white, but just a bit lighter than normal mode, and is far better than draft mode on Epsons. There is also a “Fast Normal” mode that looks near perfect, yet provides some ink savings. Both modes print text and graphics far more quickly than earlier models, narrowing the gap against laser printers dramatically. Like all good-quality photo printers, it runs through ink quickly at the highest photo settings. But for everyday use in “Fast Draft” and “Fast Normal” modes, I’m satisfied with the ink economy. “ – by jeanne425
“Prints excellent pictures for the value. I use it exclusively for pictures, not text, so I don’t switch ink, although it is easy to do. In my camparison this is less costly then 4×6 only printers, and I print other photo sizes frequently. Check consumer magazine ratings and you will find this printer rates high on the list. You’ll find the best price is here also. Be careful; default print quality is set to ‘best’ every session which uses ink fast…” – by E. Maggio
Excellent Printer, Superb Price
“First I switched to the HP Model C6658AN No. 58 Photo Inkjet Cartridge, followed by a switch to HP Photo paper, and last I used the HP Image Zone software to do the printing. Result? With no editing, the photos came out beautiful. I mean gorgeous. The colors are rich, deep and crystal clear. A jpeg of the Orion Nebula shows the central stars as hard pinpoints, surrounded by subtle variations of pink, blue, and orange… This is a very good printer. For the price, it is a wonderful printer. Well worth the price.” – by Matachen
