Great Addition To Gitzo Systematic Tripod
“I have a Gitzo Series 3 Systematic Tripod which comes without a center column. This provides the most sturdy base. I purchased this center column to provide more flexiblity. I have used this with the legs not extended and the center column raised. It allowed me to be in a chair, have a very small footprint so I was able to stradle the tripod, and yet still have the camea viewfinder at eye level. This setup worked very well. It also allows me to get additional height when needed (around another 12 inches). I was concerned that the center column would reduce the sturdiness of the setup. I was very pleased that the tripod and column are rock steady (I was using a 70-200mm lens + 2x extender)…” – By Lena Pfeffer
