Fujifilm XF 14mm F2.8 R is an Ultra Wide-Angle Lens that designed for X-Pro 1 Interchangeable Lens Digital Camera System. This lens construction consists of 10 elements in 7 groups, including 2 aspheric and 3 extra low dispersion elements, and a seven-blade rounded diaphragm with maximum aperture of f/2.8 that make it is ideal for low-light photography. It also has angle of view up to 89° with minimum focus distance up to 7.09″ (18 cm) and 0.13x magnification, including 58 mm of filter size. The lens measures (Length x Diameter) 65 x 58.4 mm.

“The Fujinon XF 14mm f/2.8 R is a highly attractive ultra-wide lens with few shortcomings. The most important factor for an ultra-wide lens is certainly image sharpness and the Fujinon delivers here. It is bitingly sharp in the image center and good to very good in the outer image region. The very low CAs contribute to the high quality perception.”

“Vignetting is practically a non-issue, and chromatic aberrations are present but very well-controlled. There is some very slight barrel distortion, but given the ultra-wide-angle focal length its certainly nothing to worry about. The close-focus point of 18cm comes in handy when including a foreground interest in the image, as you often do in landscape and architectural photography, or for taking close-up street photos.”

“Image quality is truly excellent. In fact, focusing issues aside, once you get any of the existing Fuji lenes there, the images they produce are tack sharp. This lens maintains that standard. Color and contrast are excellent when matched with the X-Pro 1 and so far I love the images this lens has produced. I’m sure I’m not saying anything new here, just adding my two cents worth.
