I've just bought this cam and so far it seems quite nice for a general cam with a bit more "umph" than an entry level camera.
The video is saved just like the still pictures but with a different extension. It could be the program you're using to download the files.
If you can see your photos on the SD Card, you should be able to see the movies as well.
Hope this helps

I bought it because im a rather skint photography enthusiast, and Im begining to think, for me, it was a mistake, and I should have waited until times got better to get a DSLR instead. im having difficulty taking good shots that are nice and clear across the whole field, and also dont have noise and poor exposure in parts, because most of these do. Some pics look ok, but some quite honestly look like they've been taken on an OK mobile phone camera, which considering this cam sells for £179, is pretty bad.

On a plus side the HD video really is great and the mic is brilliant, and geenrally, if there is a blue sky and lots of detail and light, you can get an interesting still pic that people tend to like, but if there is a haze, your shooting in the direction of the sun, or with the sun on one side, and particualy if the sky has that white even, but bright cloud cover, the cam just doesnt produce good pics, no matter what you try to do with the settings, and the other thing is the lens isnt good enough quality.

Do not be put off this cam if your just in need of a camera for holiday pics that you intend to show to your family, as Im sure they'll think they are great (or at least some of them will be)! But just dont get this if you have the idea that your going to get really good pictures out of it on a photography enthusiast level, because you're probably almost certainly not.
