It's long over due! Fujifilm has put out some very nice cameras for a long time. The lenses have produced sharp images and their sensors great low light performance with excellent dynamic range. My first digital camera back in the 90's was a fujifilm. Loved it. I also used to sell cameras. What impressed me about fujifilm cameras was that many of them outperformed Nikons, Canons, Pentaxes and Sony's (Minoltas) for a fraction of the cost. They didn't sell as well simply because they weren't those other "named" cameras. FujiFilm cameras are (most anyway - Note: Not all cameras in any manufactures line of cameras perform well. There are "lemon" models everywhere!) a very good deal. I have no doubt this new model will be top of the line. I have in my camera collection a Sigma DP1s which I will be very curious to compare with the Finepix X100.
