Fujifilm FinePix X10 Reviews

Photographyblog reviews the Fujifilm FinePix X10 and writes;
“The X10 also delivers the goods in terms of image quality. Noise is noticeable only by its almost complete absence from ISO 100-800, with the faster full-resolution settings of 1600 and 3200 also being very usable.”
Rating: ★★★★½

Expertreviews reviews the Fujifilm FinePix X10 and writes;
“Photos taken in bright light at ISO 100 were smooth, sharp and natural-looking, in a way that we normally only see from CSCs and SLRs. We achieved similar results indoors by using a flashgun and bouncing light off the ceiling.”
Rating: ★★★★½

Techradar reviews the Fujifilm FinePix X10 and writes;
“The well-constructed metal body is robust, easy to use and looks very smart too. Image quality is as good as any high-end compact camera can deliver at the moment, especially if the EXR modes are used to their strengths.”
Rating: ★★★★★

Ephotozine reviews the Fujifilm FinePix X10 and writes;
“the EXR sensor gives the option of enhanced performance in low light or can be used to extend dynamic range, and provides additional versatility. With lots of external controls, and great image quality this camera would make an excellent choice, as long as you can justify the price of the camera.”
Rating: ★★★★☆

CNET reviews the Fujifilm FinePix X10 and writes;
“The X10′s autofocus performance was relatively quick and the shooter had no problems capturing fast moving objects from our experience. Time-to-first shot was at 2.5 seconds, and shot-to-shot speeds clocked at 1.3 seconds. The shutter lag was pretty minimal at 0.19 seconds.”
Rating: ★★★★☆

Digitalcamerainfo reviews the Fujifilm FinePix X10 and writes;
“The X10 is designed to be a versatile, high-quality compact, and it succeeds. It performed very well in our lab tests, among the highest we’ve seen from any fixed-lens camera.”
Rating: ★★★★☆

Photoreview reviews the Fujifilm FinePix X10 and writes;
“Test JPEGs straight out of the camera were sharp (perhaps a little over-sharpened) and colours were accurately reproduced in most shooting conditions.”
Rating: ★★★★☆

Reghardware reviews the Fujifilm FinePix X10 and writes;
“images remain impressive for a camera of this size and are certainly quite usable at these higher settings. Combine this with the fast lens and you have a camera that’s very capable in low-light situations.”
Rating: ★★★★½

Dcresource reviews the Fujifilm FinePix X10 and writes;
“On the positive side, exposure is usually accurate, colors are saturated, and purple fringing levels are low. Redeye is well-controlled, but only if the camera detects a face in the scene and uses its digital removal system.”
rating: N/A

Ephotozine compares the Fujifilm FinePix X10 with Canon Powershot S100 and writes;
“For someone who wants a compact camera with high image quality then the Canon Powershot S100 has both in abundance. It’s one of the smallest serious compact cameras available, and has excellent image quality… While we gave the X10 a recommended award in our review, as the X10 is currently one of the most expensive serious compacts available, if you have the money available, then the X10 makes an excellent choice and deserves an Editor’s Choice award.”
rating: N/A

Pocket-lint reviews the Fujifilm FinePix X10 and writes;
“It outperforms all its nearest rivals, has an excellent lens, bags of hands-on controls and will fit the bill for the more discerning snapper.”
Rating: ★★★★☆

Digitaltrends reviews the Fujifilm FinePix X10 and writes;
“Battery life was fine but not great, and you should be able to get around 270 shots on a full charge. If you turn the LCD off, you can seriously push this, but only incredibly confident photographers will find themselves satisfied without playback.”

Fujifilm FinePix X10 User Reviews

The Best Camera For Me
“Some specific things I like about the X10 is its perfect size and weight, the large clear optical glass viewfinder that is free of distracting data, the rotating zoom lens barrel that coordinates perfectly with the viewfinder, the large bright LCD screen, and the overall ergonomics. It is solidly built and user friendly.” – By Roger A. Wolf
Rating: ★★★★★

Great Camera
“I was quickly impressed by the manual controls on the camera, and how easy they were to change. I was even more impressed however, by the EXR mode, which basically chooses everything for you, but VERY VERY intelligently.” – By AT

Almost a Leica M 6
“This is a fantastic camera. I figured the optical viewfinder would be awful ! I had Leica M cameras and their viewfinder’s were gems. I can’t believe how good this one is on a camera priced like this.” – By Spencer A. Lingenfelter
Rating: ★★★★★

Well worth it
“The camera is fun, powerful, and the images it produces are fantastic. It’s with me all the time and I have captured great photos because I had the camera with me. I love it! It’s well worth the money.” – By Hector L. Munoz
Rating: ★★★★☆

Amazing for its size
“The high-quality lens takes filters, hoods and other accessories and is quite sharp and contrasty edge-to-edge, even wide open. For close-ups, it focuses down to about half an inch. Bokeh or out of focus areas are pleasant without a lot of the harshness you sometimes see in small cameras.” – By Busy Executive
Rating: ★★★★★

For the photography enthusiast
“If you already have such a camera, then supplement it with this beauty and understand it’s limitations and it’s wonderful body, shooting experience, nostalgic feeling and very good photographs.” – By M. Seither “The glider”

WOW Pictures Low Light or Daylight
“I’ve taken about 700 shots with the X10. I just grabbed a few shots at a New Year’s party in dim light without flash using the EXR mode (high ISO low noise) and all of the shots look very good. They all are pictures that you really want to look at vs. lifeless snapshots. Printed 8 1/2 x 11, they look very good indeed.” – By Robert E Good
Rating: ★★★★★

Excellent High-End P&S Alternative
“It is a very flexible camera that will allow you to shoot with outstanding scene and auto modes or allow you to fine-tune settings to your heart’s content. One of the many great features is the low-light EXR shooting mode.” – By Omar D. Durant “DesertDweller”
Rating: ★★★★★

Surprisingly great
“I had expected this camera to be excellent in all areas except one: low-light photography, because of the smallish sensor. Big surprise: it’s *excellent* in low light. Better than most much bigger cameras I have.” – By Eolake “eolake.blogspot.com”

Christmas Holiday Camera
“The image quality was great. The colors were better than any other point & shoot I’ve seen. I never needed to use the flash. The sensor is so sensitive that you can take a picture in any light condition.” – By Technology Dude
Rating: ★★★★☆

but… I like it
“The image quality is “very good.” Some say excellent. But there is some noise present even at low iso’s. As a result, i like to shoot RAW+jpg; the in-camera jpg processing is very good, but I like to have the option of editing myself. Additionally, there are options to set the aggressiveness of noise handling and sharpness, among other things.” – By B. Florence

Impressive Camera for a PNS
“Photos are pretty noise-free up to about ISO 800 and is easily handled in Lightroom 3, but higher than ISO 800, it becomes bothersome and hard to remove without sacrificing sharpness.” – By Michael D. Newcomer “Photography Junkie”
Rating: ★★★★☆

A Really Great Camera
“after almost a month of using this camera I love it and havent been affected by the white orb issue. Perhaps if I went out of my way to try and produce them I could. But this camera takes so many wonderful photos that other cameras may or may not be able to produce but this one does consistently.” – By pjmsj21
