Epson WorkForce 630 User Reviews
Wow! Even better than my Brother
“Photo printing is amazingly fast. I chose the highest quality printing to print a photo of my dog on a chair and the result astounded me. I could see every strand of fur and the texture of the material on the chair. I could touch the photo right away, there’s no ink transfer. It’s the driest photo printing I’ve ever seen. Text printing is crisp and clean. It leaves no stray marks.” – by Noname
Epson Workforce 630
“I used to have the Epson CX5800F for 4.5 years until the paper feeder would not function properly anymore. So I replaced it with the Epson Workforce 630. This is an excellent product replacement for my old one. It does everything I need it to do (i.e. copier, scanner, fax, printer, photo). It is the fastest printer I have every used and not sacrificing quality. I love the paper tray on top which you lift up and feed paper just like you would a traditional copier and it does a good job.” – by Stars
“First I scanned one page by placing it on directly over the scanner. It converted the image into pdf and went straight to “My Pictures”. BTW, the graphical display and menu is fantastic. You can select how you want the image scanned right there without fumbling around with software loaded on your compy. I didn’t like that default destination folder, and to my delight it was very simple to assign a new destination. The image quality of the scans is very good. After scanning 1 page, I then used the auto-feeder and scanned 3 documents. It worked *great*. Getting an effective auto-feeder can be difficult to find. Of course, I haven’t tried 10 pages, that would be a better test.” – by antipelagian
Nice with some cavaets. Easy to install. Easy to use (mostly)
“This is a fast printer and scanner. The scanner warm up is very brief. This brief warm up allows the printer to turn off the bulb soon after the scan competes, thus saving power. Scanning documents using the ADF worked flawlessly. Scanning into color PDF files took a couple of minutes per page, including the file conversion. Printing pages of Word documents was lightening fast in both color and black and white. Making a color copy on the standard quality setting using the ADF took about 26 seconds including the scanner warm up. Photo printing speed was good and the quality, for a multifunction unit, was good as well.” – by Kay Hayes
After Setup, EPSON WorkForce Printer is a Most Competant Machine
“..The printing itself is sharp and clear, the copier if free of smudge and irregularity, and the scanner reveals bright and clearly defined colors. It is also quick; the printing glides out effortlessly and is less clunky and noisy than printers I’ve used in the past. Likewise the scanner and copier are efficiently time saving and less robotic than other machines. This printer has become a valuable part of my PC system and I am most happy with its performance.” – by Guy De Federicis
Good product for anything you might want to do
“Scanning/printing or anything else you do, is fast. The printing is fast and of good quality. When you scan, the image is clear of good quality. The coping is fast, quick and just as clear as the original document. Not only is everything quick and of good quality, it is very easy to use. Faxing is just as easy to use as everything else. You punch in the fax number, place the documents to be faxed, hit the start button (you have a choice of doing color or b&w), it scan to documents, dials and once connected, it sends the documents.” – by Patricia Brouillette
This is a big printer
“I am most impressed with the price of this print/scanner/fax considering the automatic feed for the scanner, and it is a very good scanner. (I’m convinced Epson scanners have always been the best.) I had no problems with the setup other than the printer is bulky and I was concerned about the paper feed on the bottom when I was trying to situate it to take up the least amount of space possible. It is plastic and seems like it could easily break if not handled correctly.” – by T. K. Paul
Nice unit for the money
“This does everything we need it to do. It would be nice if you could use a direct connection and a wireless connection at the same time (thus the 4-star rating), but for the money I can’t complain too much. Print quality is fine for light home-office work, faxing is easy with the document feeder, the scanner works as expected. The full size ink cartridges included with this unit are a very nice touch. I would recommend this to others.” – by Alan Grube

The new international ISO print speed standard
Print speed is critically important when buying a printer or all-in-one. But how do you compare print speeds when different manufacturers measure in different ways? Now you can. Much like the “MPG” ratings on new cars, there’s now a new industry standard for measuring print speed, which allows for an “apples-to-apples” comparison between different printer models and brands. The International Organization for Standardization (widely known as ISO) developed this industry approved and internationally accepted standard, specifically for ink jet printers and all-in-ones. It measures “out of the box” (default) print speeds using “real world” printing scenarios, so you can be sure you’re getting a product that performs at the speed you need.
