Epson Stylus Photo RX680 Reviews

About.com reviews the Epson Stylus Photo RX680 and writes;
“The printer has a Specialty Print button that uses photo enhancement to improve the quality of old or damaged photos. In less than a minute, a 30-year-old photo that had lightened and discolored significantly printed out (expect to wait twice as long on Best Photo setting). The color improvement was phenomenal, far better than I expected; the picture looked brand new, and all the colors—even the ones that were barely discernible in the original—were fresh and clear. “

Macworld reviews the Epson Stylus Photo RX680 and writes;
“With great print quality for both photos and text, and features like a duplexer, dual paper trays, a memory card reader, and standalone photo restoration, the Stylus Photo RX680 truly is a very good multifunction printer. While its bundled software could be better, there’s little reason not to recommend it, especially if you’re a photo-centric user who wants the flexibility to print other document types quickly and easily.”

Duplex Feature is Fantastic
“The print quality is not too shoddy either. The Copy feature does not produce as sharp an image as the page being copied. It tends to be a bit “out of focus” so to speak. I have found that by scanning the page into the computer, saving it as PDF, then printing it, I get a copy with quality comparable to that of the page being scanned. “ – by Morris Sullivan

Great printer… the best all-in-one out there.
“This machine cranks out beautiful prints very fast. It prints border-less 8.5″X11″ prints, which is a plus. It’s one of the few all-in-one’s that do that, and it does it well. You can even print 4″X6″ prints fast, as well as DVDs and CDs.. The Claria Hi-Definition inks are amazing. The light cyan and light magenta cartridges really make sunsets pop and renders skin tones properly. You can print from an assortment of flash memory, and you can even scan a document directly to PDF to flash memory. I’m very satisfied with this printer. As someone who works in the graphic design field, I’d recommend it to anyone.” – by Paul Skowronski

Fabulous Printer… Not sure what some of the others purchased.
“Printing on a cd was easy using the supplied cd tray. I also have had excellent results from scanning pictures and documents. All & all I am VERY satisfied. I was so satisfied I donated my old HP printer & HP scanner to charity for the tax write off!!!” – by D. Roebuck

Best printer I ever had!
“This is probably my 4th printer I’ve own in my life time (1st for epson)and none but this Epson prints pitcures as good as prof. developing. I even think this printer does better. I did read a review saying to only use epson paper which I have done. Duplexing works perfect as well as the scanning, copying, etc. The only thing I have yet to do is print on a cd. I just can’t rave enough about this printer. If you want a printer to print wonderful pictures, then this is the printer for you. And it’s fast!” – by Julie

A great printer
“This printer is so much better than the Epson 260 I tried and took back last year. No CD tray loading or jamming problems. Just line up the arrows and print away!! Oh and I didn’t buy this printer from Amazon. Instead I got it from Best Buy with an extended warranty which so far has not had to be used. I’m pleased with this printer and hope it lasts a few years before I have to replace it. “ – by Robert M. Bratcher Jr.

Third Epson printer
“This is the third Epson printer I’ve bought or been familiar with. The others an RX-500 and an RX-580 we had on our home network. Recently the 500 died so we moved the 580 up to the house printer and I bought an RX-680 to replace it as my personal printer. It’s only been a few days but so far it works great. The pictures are fantastic. We had some relatives in town and we printed up some pictures on it for them to take with them. They were very impressed. “ – by Sylvester L. South

Great purchase!
“This printer has multi-function. It’s a regular color/bw printer, as well as a scanner. And it prints beautifully directly onto a CD, which is what I was looking for. Good, quality machine. And it has a great black, sleek look – looks great in my office. I am VERY pleased with this purchase and highly recommend it!! “ – by Blaze

I love this printer
“I’m a graphic designer, so I’m very picky about output quality. We use this printer at home, and the photos we print are so spectacular that I haven’t looked at other brands of color printers for years. I love the borderless printing and am excited to design things with full bleeds now.” – by Scott Bright

Decent printer – expensive ink
“As for photo prints I can say that this has been one of the nicest prints I have gotten from a printer. Even an 8×10 prints very well… In all it is a decent printer, but expensive to make any of the photo prints. It is okay for the occasional photo printing, but I will have to think hard on my next printer purchase. “ – by C. Fisher

Best printer…when you get one that works
“I’ve printed hundreds of beautiful cds, paper and labels all work great. The scanner is actually SILENT — something I know is unusual after living with my Dad’s HP AIO that sounds like a mini jet engine idling. I got a $35 CISS kit on eBay so it can drink all the ink it wants for all I care. I highly recommend this unit!” – by Kevin M. Schultz
