I've been using Irvanview for almost 2 years, to replace ACDsee. What I like most on IrvanView: it can easily remove metadata from picture (Sometimes I have trouble handling pictures with embedded metadata inside, specially when I word with getimgsize in php). What I like on ACDSee, a mass rename feature and (mass) folder listing capabilities. Such an amazing have two of that features.
