Carbon fiber at an affordable price
“The haviest equipment that I have mounted and used on this tripod is a Nikon D200 with a Nikon 80-400mm VR zoom lense attached. This camera and lense combination is pretty heavy and the tripod handles it just fine. Due to the light weight of the tripod I have not found it burdensome to pack around for a day of shooting. There is a very useful bubble level on it and the quick release levers on the legs make it possible to get set up and level in a rapid fashion. This tripod is very useful and I like it a lot. It’s a very good value even though the ball head didn’t meet my expectations.” – By K. Fricke

Dolica Proline Carbon Fiber Tripod CX730B105: First Impressions
“I wanted a solid platform for my new Nikon D-90 and 18-200mm lens. I concluded from the comments that most low cost, 3-segment leg versions come up short and require extending the dreaded center column that makes for a loose/unsteady platform. I ended up going with the 5.3 lb. Dolica Proline CX730B105 carbon fiber tripod. With the four leg segments extended, I can comfortably use the camera without having to extend the center column. I can even get by with the lowest retractable legs only half-way out which makes for a very solid platform. I also like the little details like the bubble level, soft foam grips on all three legs, a removable hook at the bottom of the center column, some tools and a nice utility sack to put everything in. “ – By RedJohn

Great product! Much better than I expected
“The ball head was also much better than I expected. It is solid and even fluid like. I tried a Sony z1 (big video camera) on this ball head and panning was actually smooth. It has a smaller knob for fine tuning as well as a larger one for quick lock/release. It also has the typical knob for horizontal movement which is very fluid-like…” – By Thad Stott
