Sony Announces its First Full Frame DSLR
Sony has announced the A900 (09/09/2008), a full frame DSLR camera with 24.6 MP full frame CMOS sensor. The camera also offers sensor-shift image stabilization, a 100% coverage viewfinder, continuous shooting at five frames per second, HDMI output, and a a 3-inch, Xtra Fine LCD screen.

The DSLR-A900 body will be available in November for about $3,000 along with related accessories.
Ricoh Announces R10
Ricoh has recently announced the R10, a 10 megapixels pocket camera features 7.1 optical zoom (35mm equivalent: 28-200mm), CCD-shift image stabilizer, in camera image editing, and a large 3.0″ HVGA LCD monitor.

Fujifilm Announces Finepix F60fd
Fujifilm has launched the successor to the Finepix F50fd. The camera features a larger 3.0″ LCD screen, 12 Megapixel CCD sensor, Dual Image Stabilization, and a 3x optical zoom (35mm equivalent: 35-105mm).

The FinePix F60fd will be available from September 2008. Pricing will be announced nearer to the date of the launch.
Fujifilm Introduces Finepix S2000HD
Fujifilm has introduced the Finepix S2000HD, a SLR-like digital camera features 10 megapixel CCD sensor, 15x optical zoom (35mm equivalent: 27.6-414mm), face detection, 2.7″ LCD Screen, Dual Image Stabilisation, and full compatibility with high definition television (HDTV) systems for both stills and movies.

The Finepix S2000HD will be available in UK from September 2008. Pricing will be announced nearer to the date of the launch.
Fujifilm Announces Finepix J150W, J120, J110W, J100
Fujifilm has recently announced four new additions to their J series compact cameras. The Finepix J150W, J120, J110W, J100 have the same 10 megapixel sensor with 5x optical zoom lens, but varies the LCD size and focal range. The J150 has 3″ LCD and offers a focal range of 28mm-140mm. The J120 has the same LCD size as J150 but with longer focal range of 28mm-175mm. Whilst the J110W (28-145mm) and J100 (28-175mm) have smaller LCD of 2.7″.

The FinePix J100, J110W, J120, J150W will be available in the UK from September. Pricing and will be announced nearer to the date of the launch.
Nikon Introduces S60
This week Nikon also has introduced the Coolpix S60, a 10 megapixel camera with 3.5-inch high-resolution LCD touch screen features 5x zoom lens, 3x anti blur Vibration Reduction, Smile and Blink detection.

Nikon Introduces Coolpix S710, S610C, S610 and S560
Nikon has added four new ultra compact digital cameras to their S-series range. The S710 is a powerful 14.5 megapixel camera with 3x zoom lens, 3-inch LCD monitor, and VR. The S610C & S610 offers 0.7 second start-up time, 4x zoom lens, Wi-Fi, VR Technology and 3-inch LCD monitor. The S560 is a Sleek and stylish 10 megapixel camera with ultra-compact body, 5x zoom lens, Vibration Reduction, high ISO, and 2.7-inch LCD monitor.

The Nikon The S710 will cost €329 / £299.99 / $379.95, available mid-September. The Nikon S610C and S610 will cost €319 / £249.99 / $329.95 and €299 / £249.99 / $279.95 respectively and be available in September. The Nikon S560 will retail for €249 / £179.99 / $249.95, available at the end of August.
Sony Introduces CyberShot T700 & T77
Sony has introduced the 10-megapixel CyberShot DSC-T700 & T77 to replace CyberShot DSC-T70 and T30. The T77 camera is Sony’s thinnest model at less than 5/8 of an inch with a 3-inch, 16 x 9 touch panel LCD screen. Both cameras feature updated intelligent scene recognition technology, Smile Shutter™ and face detection technologies with child and adult priority, as well as high sensitivity shooting (up to ISO 3200), eleven scene modes, and in-camera image management.

The T700 model earns extra points as it has 4GB of internal memory and a hi-resolution 3.5-inch wide touch panel and it will be available in red, pink, gold, silver, and gray while the DSC-T77 will be available in black, silver, green, pink, brown.
Both models will be on sale in Japan September 5th and most likely worldwide soon thereafter for US$400 (T700) and $300 (T77)
Epson Announces P6000 & P7000
Epson has announced their latest Multimedia Photo Viewer offering 80GB and 160GB of hard drive capacities. The P6000 and P7000 also feature Exclusive 4-inch Epson Photo Fine® Premia LCD which displays 16.7 million colors, up to 35% faster download speed than previous models, Audio/video output and it supports both JPEG and RAW files.

The P6000 & P7000 will be available in September 2008 and you’ll need to spend $599.99 for the P6000 (80GB) and $799.99 for the P7000 (160GB)
