A photograph of ‘Pond’ shot by Edward Steichen more that 100 years ago in Long Ingland is sold for $2.9 Million at Auction. This easily setting a world record for the highest-priced photograph ever auctioned.

According to Sotheby’s spokesman – Matthew Weigman, the photograph was sold for $2,928,000, including the buyer’s premium, to Peter MacGill, of Pace/MacGill Gallery, on behalf of a private collector.
