Ricoh GR Digital Latest Firmware V2.01
Ricoh has released the latest firmware V.2.01 for the Ricoh GR Digital camera, a newly developed professional-grade high-resolution compact digital camera with an 8 megapixel CCD sensor.
The latest firmware will add the follwing features;
• [LEFT] / [RIGHT] for [DIAL DIRECTION]
Selectable a setting value to increase / decrease using the Up-down dial and the ADJ. dial for some setting changes.
• [ON] / [OFF] for [SYNCHRO. MONITOR]
Selectable a setting of the LCD ON/OFF when you press the shutter release halfway in the Synchro-Monitor mode.
• [ON] / [OFF] for [ADJ SHTR BTN SET]
Selectable to add the feature to the shutter button for the [OK] command in the ADJ. mode or in some settings.

These new ‘nostalgia’, ‘clear’, ‘twilight’, and ‘emerald’ style files can be installed to your camera body or to your Digital Photo Professional (DPP) software on your computer.
Nostalgia: Expressions of people and landscapes in a way that evokes an earlier time. Lowered saturation for all colors except yellow.

The current theme is “My Family”, with the selected photos will appear in both the print and online magazines. Your photo must be in JPEG/JPG format only, with 1,600 pixels wide it is a horizontal image or 1,600 pixels tall if it is a vertical image, and it can be no larger than 2 megabytes (MB). We would like to inform customers of an issue that may occur when the Nikon AF-S DX VR Zoom-Nikkor 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G IF-ED lens is used with the D100, D2H or D70 digital cameras. With the lens set to a wide-angle position, in some rare cases, the camera is unable to acquire accurate focus on near subjects when auto focusing starts from the infinity position.

Photographer Beware Ebay Memory Scam
There’s an article with currently 3180 diggs about scammers who sell 64MB drives and label them as 8 GB.
Lately there has been a huge increase in the number of counterfeit flash drives on eBay. Sellers claim to be selling large drives (e.g 8GB) from name brand companies, like Sony, but they are actually 64MB drives that have been re-labeled. These drives usually break within a few weeks of being purchase. Please digg this to stop the scammers!
