Mobile Postcard Service by Kodak
Kodak has just launched a Mobile Service Postcard Application where users can send their photos taken with the cameraphone and make them into postcards which then can be sent to any address in the US.
Postcards can be sent on the Verizon Wireless network using the Motorola V710, V260, V265, V276; Kyocera KX2; and the Audiovox CDM-8940.

PF is a special optical device that helps to visually penetrate an object’s surface in order to view whatever lies below. The manufacturers claim that the Infrared See-Through Filter PF can’t totally penetrate all surfaces but it can provide a high degree of “see-through”.

Canon EOS 350D Firmware Update Ver. 1.0.3
This firmware update incorporates the following improvements:
- Fixes the phenomenon of shots being unable to be taken when using the remote controller RC-1.
- Fixes the phenomenon wherein the camera continues to scroll through images being played back.
- Improves reliability in communication when using some CF cards.
This firmware update applies to cameras with firmware versions up to 1.0.2 installed. By installing this update, the phenomena will be fixed, and the affected cameras can be used without these problems. If your camera’s firmware is already version 1.0.3, it is not necessary to perform this update.
Canon 20D New Firmware 2.0.3
This firmware update (version 2.0.3) incorporates the following additions and improvements:
- Fixes a problem in color temperature information transmission that occurred when using Speedlite 430EX.
- Improves reliability in communicaion when using CF cards.
This fIrmware update applies to cameras with firmware versions up to 2.0.2 installed. If your camera’s firmware is already version 2.0.3, it is not necessary to perform this update.
Canon Developing Fuel Cells for Printers & Cameras
Canon has developed tiny fuel cells that hopefully would replace conventional batteries as the only power for digital cameras and printers in three years.
Fuel-cell technology mixes hydrogen and oxygen to generate electricity and is considered a promising replacement for today’s lithium-ion batteries, which are widely used to power a range of mobile products from notebook PCs to mobile phones.
Moreover, Canon is also developing organic light-emitting diode (OLED) displays to replace the liquid crystal displays (LCD) it buys from other firms for use in its cameras and printers.

Wireless Point and Shoot - Canon PowerShot SD 430
Canon has introduced a wireless point and shoot camera, with 5 mega pixels, DIGIC II processor, 3x optical zoom and a two-inch LCD. The new Canon PowerShot SD430 Digital Elph will be using the 802.11b Wifi standard which make the camera able to sending images to a printer, a PC equipped with a wireless LAN card or a wireless access point device.
