olympus-evolt330

“Live view operation in Mode A and Mode B hold no surprises – using it makes one wonder why it wasn’t introduced a long time ago. Noise – a simple side by side image comparison with an E-500 seems to indicate a significant improvement in noise suppression with the E-330.”

Kodak EasyShare One – Review @ ImagingResource

Imaging resource has recently posted a review on Kodak EasyShare-One, a point-and-shoot digital camera with 4.0 megapixel CCD sensor, 3x optical zoom, and a huge 3″ LCD Screen.

kodak-easyshare-one

“Kodak’s EasyShare digicams always make it easy to take pictures, but the EasyShare-One makes it a breeze to share them. Not just at home within reach of your computer, but anywhere you can find a WiFi connection that gets you on the Web. The EasyShare-One’s fully automatic exposure control makes it rewarding to share, too, performing surprisingly well in a wide variety of conditions and requiring less exposure adjustment or tweaking than most or its competitors. For difficult shots, a wide range of Scene modes set the camera’s capabilities for you. Tiny, compact, and super-stylish, the Kodak EasyShare-One is perfect for people who just want to take pictures and pass them around, as well as more experienced users looking for a new way to share their shots.”

Canon PowerShot SD430 – Review @ Pocketlint

PocketLint has recently posted their review on Canon PowerShot SD430 Digital ELPH, a 5.0 megapixels (CCD) digital camera with 3x optical zoom ( 35-105mm f/2.8-4.9), 2.0″ Color LCD with Night Display Control and a built-in wireless control for image transfer and printing.

canon_sd430

“The SD430 Wireless looks pricey, but the extra cash is buying you that Wi-Fi kit, the adapters and clever software. The camera part of the equation is however, a fairly mediocre affair, built to Canon’s usual high standards, filled with great kit but at the end of the day the images are not that much better than similar, cheaper cameras with the same resolution.

If the Wi-Fi connectivity is critical for what you’re going to be doing with the digital camera (and you’re a Windows user) then the extra cash might be worth it. If Wi-Fi is not a particularly important then save your cash, the extra cost of the Wi-Fi will be surplus to your requirements so save your money.”

Sony Cybershot DSC-S600 – Review @ Steve’s Digicams

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S600 has been reviewed at Steve’s Digicams. Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S600 is a 6.0 megapixel point-and-shoot digital camera with 3x optical zoom (31-93mm) and and 2″ LCD screen.

Sony-cybershot-s600

“The Sony Cyber-shot S600 is a very good all-around performer. It shuns ultra compact styling and the trend of providing a 2 1/2-inch LCD without an optical viewfinder, instead providing a versatile set of features that are useful in every day shooting situations; I especially liked the S600′s wide angle zoom range, very powerful flash and versatile range of sensitivity settings. With very good image quality, 6-megapixels of resolution, high-quality movies and an MSRP of under $200, the Sony DSC-S600 is a terrific value, especially if you shoot a lot of indoor family events.”

Fujifilm FinePix S5200 – Review @ Steve’sDigicams

Steve’s Digicam has recently posted the review of Fujifilm FinePix S5200, a 5.0 megapixel Super CCD digital camera with a 10x optical zoom lens (38-380mm equivalent) featuring an “anti-blur” mode, 1.8″ LCD screen, Pictbridge, and RAW mode.

fujis5200

“The S5200′s shooting performance is very good. From power-on till the first image was captured measured under just 2 seconds. Shutter lag, the delay between depressing the shutter and capturing the image, was almost instantaneous (less than 1/10 of a second) when pre-focused, and only 4/10 of a second including autofocus time. Shot to shot delay averaged about 1 second without flash, and between 2.5 and 5 seconds with flash, depending on subject distance and battery life. Things slow down quite a bit when shooting CCD-RAW images; Continuous shooting is disabled, and shot to shot time slows to between 5 and 6 seconds. RAW mode is not well supported by Fuji’s FinePix Viewer; all you can do is convert the RAW file to TIFF and save it. But, I think that most users will be very satisfied with the image produced by its 5-megapixel Fine JPEG mode.”

Nikon D200 – Review @ CNET

David D. Busch has recently posted his review on Nikon D200, the latest DSLR camera with a 10.2 megapixel CCD sensor, 5 frames per second with bursts up to 37 JPEGs (Fine-Large) or 22 NEF (RAW) images and a large 2.5″ LCD screen. CNET gives the camera 8.3 out of 10 (Excellent) and writes:

Nikon-D200

“Indeed, the D200 performed very well at ISOs ranging from 100 to 800. We’ve never really gotten an image with our D2X at ISO 1,600 or ISO 3,200 that we were happy with–and we still think the Canon EOS 5D’s noise control is a bit better–but the D200 produced quite acceptable images at both ratings, especially when we set the High Exposure Noise Reduction adjustment to High. Speckles were reduced with only a little loss of detail. The D200 also has a separate Long Exposure Noise Reduction setting that worked well. “
