Kodak EasyShare V610 - Review @ PCMag

PCMag’s Terry Sulivan has recently published a review of the Kodak EasyShare V610, world’s Smallest 10X Optical Zoom 6.1 megapixel Digital Camera with Integrated Bluetooth Wireless Technologies and two Schneider-Kreuznach C-Variogon all-glass prism zooms (two CCDs) to cover a much wider 10x range (equivalent of 38-380mm).

“In our still-life tests, I found very little noise in the daylight image and just a bit more in the flash image. Both day and flash test shots showed good, but not great, color fidelity and saturation. I saw a bit of a reddish cast and a little purple fringing. Overall, both images had pretty good exposures, but they weren’t all that sharp. In the day shot, the image was slightly overexposed, blowing out some of the whites. The flash shot had a little too much contrast, but otherwise the flash coverage was good. “

Kodak EasyShare P880 - Review @ LetsGoDigital

Steve’s Digicams has just posted a review on Kodak EasyShare P880, a 8.3 megapixel digital camera with 5.8x optical zoom (24 - 140mm, 35mm equivalent) and 2.5″ large LCD, and writes:

Kodak P880

“The Kodak P880 is a pleasant camera to work with. The majority of functions is available via buttons on the camera itself which makes searching in the menu unnecessary. ..In particular the image quality of the Kodak EasyShare P880 and the quality of the lens are the things I am very enthusiastic about. The Kodak P880 is a real wide-angle which is ideal for landscape imaging as well as in-house imaging. It is suitable for street photography too.”

Kodak EasyShare V530 - Review @ Megapixel

Kodak EasyShare V530, a 5 megapixels pont-and-shoot digital camera with a Schneider-Kreuznach 3x optical zoom lens, a 2-inch LCD screen, has been reviewed by Emily Raymond at DigitalCameraInfo. Here’s what she says about the image quality:

kodak-easyshare-V530

“With the EasyShare V530’s 5 megapixels, the camera can produce pictures at a maximum resolution of 2576 x 1932 pixels. Four other image sizes are available at 4.4, 4, 3.1 and 1.8-megapixel sizes. All of these sizes are 4:3 formatted except the 4.4 megapixel size. This is 3:2 formatted to make standard 4 x 6-inch prints. The specs claim that this camera can produce prints up to 20 x 30 inches, but I wouldn’t recommend such large prints unless blurring and stair-step lines are acceptable. At the V530’s maximum resolution, 8 x 10 inches is probably the largest I’d print. “

Kodak EasyShare V610 - Review @ PhotographyBlog

PhotographyBlog have recently published a review of the Kodak EasyShare V610, world’s Smallest 10X Optical Zoom 6.1 megapixel Digital Camera with Integrated Bluetooth Wireless Technologies and two Schneider-Kreuznach C-Variogon all-glass prism zooms (two CCDs) to cover a much wider 10x range (equivalent of 38-380mm).

kodak-v610

“The Kodak Easyshare V610 produced images of average quality during the review period. The 6 megapixel images were quite soft straight out of the camera at the default sharpening setting and ideally require some further sharpening in an application like Adobe Photoshop, or you should change the in-camera setting to High. The Kodak Easyshare V610 dealt very well with chromatic aberrations, with limited purple fringing effects appearing only in high contrast situations. Macro performance is average, allowing you to focus as close as 5 cms away from the subject. The built-in flash worked well indoors, with no red-eye and good exposure. “

Kodak EasyShare V610 - Review @ PocketLint

PocketLint have recently published a review of the Kodak EasyShare V610, world’s Smallest 10X Optical Zoom 6.1 megapixel Digital Camera with Integrated Bluetooth Wireless Technologies and two Schneider-Kreuznach C-Variogon all-glass prism zooms (two CCDs) to cover a much wider 10x range (equivalent of 38-380mm).

kodak-v610

“My worries for this camera revolve around the issue of image blur from camera shake. Noise control is good but not good enough at ISO 800, which is a shame because it is the only option open to you to get faster shutter speeds at those longer focal lengths.Despite this, the Kodak EasyShare V610 provides an remarkably compact camera with a remarkable zoom range and provides the sort of shots most snappers will be more than delighted with.”

Kodak EasyShare V570 - Review @ Let’sGoDigital

Let’sGoDigital have recently posted their review of the Kodak EasyShare V570, the world’s first dual-lens digital camera with two ccd’s and 2.5-inch LCD Screen.

Kodak EasyShare V570

“The impression that the Kodak EasyShare V570 leaves behind after the tests is one of mixed feelings. The dual-lens system offers indisputable advantages, not to mention the fact that this type of wide-angle packaged in a compact digital camera is absolutely unique. However, it remains a pity that the image quality ranges only from average to good, and that we see rivalling 5 Megapixel digital cameras produce better results. Overall, the images are not as sharp as one would expect, which greatly affects the fine details in the image. Granted, the results do improve after applying a little extra sharpness to the image, but this is in fact a process that should already have taken place inside the camera. “

Kodak EasyShare V610 - Review @ CNET

CNET have recently published a review of the Kodak EasyShare V610, world’s Smallest 10X Optical Zoom 6.1 megapixel Digital Camera with Integrated Bluetooth Wireless Technologies and two Schneider-Kreuznach C-Variogon all-glass prism zooms (two CCDs) to cover a much wider 10x range (equivalent of 38-380mm). They rate the camera

kodak-v610

“Overall, the camera tends to either overexpose highlights or underexpose shadows. Noise creeps in even at lower ISO settings. Images shot at ISO 64 are, of course, the cleanest but still show traces of colored specs, especially in darker colors. The camera keeps this under control at ISO 100, but by ISO 200, noise is noticeable and becomes obvious at ISO 400. Images shot at ISO 800 are generally not fit to print.”

Kodak EasyShare V570 - Review @ DigicamReview

DigicamReview has recently posted a review of the Kodak EasyShare V570, the world’s first dual-lens digital camera with 5 megapixel CCD and 2.5-inch LCD Screen.

kodak-v570

“Image quality seemed to be much better outdoors, where images had low noise and high saturation, but indoors images had much higher and noticeable noise. Images were generally quite soft straight from the camera, especially using the ultra-wide angle lens, and could benefit from sharpening. Purple fringing was average, more noticeable with the ultra-wide angle lens, and red-eye was higher than average. The camera did a good job focusing the majority of the time, but struggled indoors, even with the focus assist lamp. The flash also caused some problems, mainly when using the ultra-wide angle lens, as the camera will tell you it’s in focus, even when it’s not. I did not notice vignetting in photos, however I did notice quite strong barrel distortion using the ultra wide angle lens (more when distortion compensation was off) and there was some pincushion distortion using the full zoom. The macro mode produced good macro photos.”

Kodak EasyShare V570 - Review @ HardwareZone

HardwareZone has recently posted a review of the Kodak EasyShare V570, the world’s first dual-lens digital camera with 5 megapixel CCD and 2.5-inch LCD Screen.

kodak-v570

“Nevertheless, for its diminutive dimensions, multiple scene modes, dual-lens and all-round decent performance, the Kodak EASYSHARE V570 is an attractive portable imaging package, even though it is using a smaller pair of 5.0-megapixel CCD image sensors rather than the newer 8-megapixel variants. Remember, Megapixel count isn’t everything and there’s more to it than just numbers, just like how Megahertz is to modern CPUs.”
