Fujifilm FinePix S9000/S9500 Zoom - Review by CamerasUK

CamerasUK have just posted their review of the Fujifilm FinePix S9500 Zoom/S9000 Zoom, a 9 Megapixels with a long 10.7 optical zoom and 1.8″ LCD screen.

FinePix 9500 Zoom

“Moving outdoors differences are less noticeable. Perhaps this is not surprising as most digital cameras can produce a decent shoot outside in good lighting conditions. Therefore it is that bit harder for the Finepix S9500 to really stand out from the rest. In terms of focusing the camera does o.k., but the shots are no sharper than I am used to seeing with a number of point and shoot cameras. In fact some of the better point and shoot models produce sharper images. I also feel that focusing does slip away when you move out towards the edge of a photo. This is especially noticeable when the zoom lens is fully extended.”

fuji_v10

“The Fuji Finepix V10 is a love-it or hate-it camera. The unusual handling may be enough to put some people off on its own. Having said that the quality of the LCD screen is excellent, as is the quality of the images and it’s straight-forward and responsive to use as well. PROS: Excellent image quality up to ISO400, Responsive, Quality of the huge LCD screen, High ISO settings are usable, Build quality.CONS: Unusual handling caused by the LCD screen and tiny controls, Blotchy patterns in high ISO images.”

Fujifilm Finepix V10 - Review @ Steve’sDigicams

Steve’sDigicams have recently posted a review of the Fujifilm FinePix V10, a 5.1 megapixel point-and-shoot digital camera (Super CCD) with 3x optical zoom, a huge 3″ LCD screen and ability to play games on camera.

fuji_v10

“I was happy with the quality of the V10’s 5M Fine mode. Indoors it produced pleasing portrait shots, with good flash exposure, sharp facial and hair detail as well as natural skin tones. The built in flash boasts an effective range of approx. 14 feet at wide angle and auto ISO. This is sufficient for most interior shooting in average sized rooms and portraits of small groups. Despite the absence of a focus-assist lamp, the AF system was very effective in dim lighting. The flash red eye reduction mode was only marginally effective. “

Fujifilm FinePix V10 - Review @ PCWorld

PCWorld have published a review of the Fujifilm FinePix V10, a 5.1 megapixel point-and-shoot digital camera (Super CCD) with 3x optical zoom and a huge 3″ LCD screen.

fuji_v10

“In our lab tests, the V10’s overall score for image quality was about average. Most impressive was the V10’s exposure accuracy, but its images scored lower in sharpness than did most other point-and-shoots we’ve tested. In particular, images produced by the Fujifilm FinePix E900 were much sharper.To add to your entertainment, Fujifilm includes four basic video games, but playing them much might prevent you from taking photos later: The V10 took only 198 shots on one charge of its rechargeable 800-mAh battery, far short of the average of 267 shots we’ve recorded for all point-and-shoot cameras.”

Fujifilm Finepix E900 - Review @ PhotographyBlog

DigitalCameraReview has recently posted a review on Fujifilm Finepix E900, 9 Megapixels SuperCCD digital camera with 4x optical zoom and 2″ TFT LCD screen.

fujie900

“The Fujifilm Finepix E900 produced images of excellent quality during the review period. The Fujifilm Finepix E900 dealt very well with chromatic aberrations, with limited purple fringing effects appearing only in high contrast situations. Macro performance is slightly below average, allowing you to focus as close as 7.5 cms away from the subject. The RAW format is only worth using if you own Adobe Photoshop CS2, as the supplied software only allows you to save as a TIFF with no image adjustments. The built-in flash worked fairly well indoors, with a small amount of red-eye and slight over-exposure.”

Fujifilm Finepix V10 - Review @ CNET Asia

CNET Asia have recently published a review of the Fujifilm FinePix V10, a 5.1 megapixel point-and-shoot digital camera (Super CCD) with 3x optical zoom, a huge 3″ LCD screen and the ability to play game on the camera.. They give the camera 6.8 out of 10 and write;

fuji_v10

“Image quality on the FinePix V10 was an ambiguous situation. The pictures we took outdoors in ample light were generally good, but indoor images were less than satisfactory when the camera increased the ISO. Our pictures exhibited washed-out highlights with some loss of details, especially when taken against a brightly lit background. In addition, we also noticed very slight barrel distortion at the wide-angle end of the zoom and some purple fringing in our pictures. “

Fujifilm FinePix S5600 - Review @ TrustedReviews

TrustedReviews have today posted their review of the Fujifilm FinePix S5600 / S5200, a 5.0 Megapixel digital camera with a 10x optical zoom and running on 4AA batteries. Here’s what they say about image quality & noise:

FujiFilm S5200

“Overall picture quality is very good, although unusually for a Fujifilm camera I found the colours in standard mode to be a bit under-saturated, and the auto white balance produced a somewhat cold appearance in bright sunlight…For under £200 the Fuji S5600 offers big-camera handling in a small and easy-to-use package. It has lightning-fast performance, a good list of features, massive zoom range and amazingly good low-light capabilities. Image quality is generally very good under most circumstances, but how I wish Fujifilm could shake of those damn purple fringes.”

Fujifilm Finepix F11- Review @ TrustedReviews

TrustedReviews have posted a review of the Fujifilm Finepix F11 and give the camera 8 out of 10. The camera is the successor to the F10, which was voted European Pocket Camera of the Year.This point and shoot digital camera camera boasts 6 megapixels and it’s equipped with 3x optical zoom lens and 2.5 inch LCD screen.

finepix_f11

“Since the F11 has the same optics, CCD and image processing system as the F10 it’s no surprise that its image quality is identical, which is to say very good indeed. Exposure, focusing and colour reproduction are all first class, and the high quality Fujinon 8 - 24mm F2.8 - F5.0 lens produces outstanding edge-to-edge sharpness at all focal lengths, while keeping wide-angle barrel distortion to a minimum. However, it does suffer from the same major problem as the F10; obtrusive purple fringing around most bright highlights.”

Fujifilm Finepix V10 - Review @ PopPhoto

PopPhoto have recently posted a review of the Fujifilm FinePix V10, a 5.1 megapixel point-and-shoot digital camera (Super CCD) with 3x optical zoom and a huge 3″ LCD screen. They give the camera 7 out of 10 and write;

fuji_v10

“The Fujifilm Finepix V10 may have 4 built-in games, but it’s not playing around when it comes to image quality. It’s a serious contender in the 5MP category. And with a street price of $300, it’s also a well-priced camera for its class.”
