Casio Exilim EX-FH25 Reviews
ePhotozine reviews the Casio Exilim EX-FH25 and writes;
“Even without these extras, the EX-FH25 proved itself a capable camera in testing, producing images of good quality in a wide range of conditions. If this camera ticks all the boxes for features, then the £300 price tag should represent good value for you.”
Steves-digicams reviews the Casio Exilim EX-FH25 and writes;
“Video can be captured on the FH25 in two different ways. You can capture standard video with sound at standard 480p and 720p resolutions (30fps). These movies produce good exposure and color with little compression noise. The playback is fairly smooth and easy to watch. The camera’s built-in mic is very sensitive and will pick up all sounds that are around the camera.”
Pocket-lint reviews the Casio Exilim EX-FH25 and writes;
“There’s the choice of shooting full resolution, Fine quality JPEGs or Fine JPEGs plus RAW; the latter option only selectable outside of the BestShot or full auto modes. With a half press of the shutter release button there’s a brief pause while the FH25 determines focus and exposure, followed by imperceptible shutter lag as you go on to take the shot.. Colours are realistically rendered, though we did find white balance drifting from shot to shot when shooting daylight interiors, and pixel fringing in evidence if looking closely at areas of high contrast.”
CNET.uk reviews the Casio Exilim EX-FH25 and writes;
“With the Exilim EX-FH25, Casio’s produced a camera that excels at capturing fast-moving action in a way that no other superzoom can. It has a decent lens that produces above-average sharpness at long range, too. There are a few faults, but none which seriously detract from the camera’s overall appeal..”

Better Than Similar Canon Megazoom | Rating:
“..The Casio EX-FH25, although not as fast as the old Nike 8008, is clearly fast enough to get my grandchildren playing soccer and even doing rides. The picture quality is absurd and it is as good in low light as the Canon megazooms are. I have also used the Sony Megazoom line and the Casio is far better, just as it is far better than the Canons. I am amazed at the quality of the videos and the photos on the Casio…” – By Joel Myron
The underdog of camera manufacturers continues to impress | Rating:
“Amazing set of features that rival many DSLRs. Powerful flash! I’ve got some great pics of 20 people on a long banquet table in a dark restaurant. All faces are clear! 20x zoom! Slow motion video is very handy. 120fps 640×480 is perfect for most tasks like examining golf swings, martial arts technique, tennis swing, etc. Both 3″ LCD and digital viewfinder. Built-in HDR like capabilities with ‘best shot’ where the camera will take multiple shots and combine the best aspects of each into one photo. 40fps shots at 9mp over .7 secs. 5fps if using flash. Shutter speed adjustable from 30 seconds to 1/2000. Great for meteor showers.” – By Ravicai

Casio Exilim EX-FH25 Features
HIGH SPEED MOVIE
Video Capture at up to 1,000 fps
The 1,000 frame-per-second High Speed Movie capabilities of the EX-FH25 is the next evolution of digital imaging. This feature allows you to easily shoot ultra slow-motion movies at speeds that have until now been available only on professional level cameras. Imagine capturing dramatic moments that cannot be seen by the naked eye, making the invisible visible.
Settings for 210fps, 420fps and variable 30-210fps are also included with the camera. While 30-210fps is selected, you can toggle the movie recording speed between 30fps and 210fps, giving you the versatility to match recording speed to the action.
HIGH SPEED BURST
Up to 40 fps at full resolution
The EX-FH25 can shoot at an amazing 40 frames per second in High Speed Burst mode. This allows you to capture up to 40 images with a single press of the button. After the images have been taken you simply save one, two or all of the images to capture the perfect moment.
20X OPTICAL ZOOM
Incredible zoom with digital stabilization
20X optical zoom combines with a CMOS shift stabilization for beautiful images even at high zoom factors where images are prone to blurring.
FLASH CONTINUOUS SHOOTING
Continuous shutter even where lighting is dim
An ultra wide angle 26mm lens reaching to 520mm allows a wide range of capture options. An Ultra wide angle lens allows for capture of grand vistas, or confined interior shots with not much room to maneuver. Its 20X long zoom with anti-shake will reach out to bring subjects into full view without the need for cumbersome tripods.
BACK ILLUMINATED CMOS
Metal wiring compromising the effectiveness of the light-sensitive area was moved to the back of the photo sensor, thus increasing the light gathering efficiency of the sensor. The result is increased light sensitivity and faster shutter speeds in low light situations, resulting in a more pleasing picture quality.
High-speed recording of action that occurs before you press the shutter button
The EX-FH25 allows you to capture the perfect moment even if you press the button too late. With the amazing pre-record function the camera begins taking pictures before you fully press the button giving you the ability to virtually travel back in time so that you never miss the action. This function works by storing up to 40 images in a buffer on the camera. When the button is pressed the images in the buffer are saved along with your newly recorded imagery.
The EX-FH25 lets you shoot beautiful 1280 x 720-pixel HD movies at a rate of 30 frames per second. After your video is recorded you can view it by connecting your camera directly to a Full HD TV for big screen viewing. The EX-FH25 also comes with USB cables and software that allows you to view your HD films on your computer or to burn them to a DVD.
BEST SHOT CONTINUOUS
Casio’s exclusive Pre-Record Mode begins recording images with a half-press of the shutter. When you’re ready to capture action, press the shutter fully and High Speed Technology starts a Continuous Burst Mode that continues recording after the shutter button has been fully depressed. Now Casio combined both modes into fully automated and easy to use Best Shot scene modes. Pick your scene type and you’ll never miss a shot due to shutter lag ever again!
Put a better face on your images with automatic Face Detection technology. Our camera adjusts instantly for optimum focus and background even if your subject is backlit or in front of a patterned backdrop. Moving targets? No problem. The camera will capture kids and pets on the go in the sharpest detail.
