Case Logic SLRC-203 User Reviews

Excellent general use bag
“I like this bag a lot and it has become my everyday camera bag. It is well constructed, light weight, strong material and quality zippers, spacious, and in particular the hammock design in the main compartment keeps the camera suspended, providing extra protection if bag is dropped. The bottom itself is thick for additional protection and is very stable. The strap is long so I can wear it either on my shoulder or across my body comfortably. My other bag which is a back-pack design I now primarily use for times that require long hikes. Comparing the two design, I feel this Caselogic bag offers easier access. Whereas the back-pack provides better weight-distribution when carried on both shoulders.” – By D. Lin

A very capable bag
“I second pretty much everything the previous reviewer said and, indeed, bought this larger of two bags on his advice. I’m glad I did. Let me add a few numbers. It holds (in the sling) my Nikon D90 which is 5″ wide, 4″high, and 2″ deep with a 3″ diam., 5″ long lens attached. Since this lens is a 18-270 I don’t carry other lenses so can’t comment on space for them. There is space in various compartments for the charger and 2 extra batteries, 5 or 6 77mm filters and a lens hood, carrying strap, a SB400 flash, extra SD cards, and (just in case) a Nikon Coolpix P50. I tried for the kitchen sink but it would not quite fit. “ – By Robert S. Lyss

Well constructed, secure bag with a few design flaws
“This bag, the SLRC-203 is well built. Good quality and all. Having owned a previous Caselogic case, the SLRC2, I chose this case because it seemed similar. I was very happy with the old case, but I upgraded from a small Nikon D40x to a larger Canon 7D. This case fits the larger camera just fine with a large lens on the body and two lenses on either side in the pockets. Space is not really an issue.” – By Joel Gautraud

Good bag for the price
“I was initially going to purchase the SLRC-202, but after reading some of the reviews decided to go with this SLRC-203. Definitely was a good choice to go with the larger 203. I have a Nikon D5000 with the original 18-55mm lens and purchased a 55-200mm lens at the same time as I got the bag. The bag itself is well constructed and the suspension system works great. The side pockets are small at the base, so they are not ideal for a large lens. The 55-200mm lens fits well by itself, but it would be a squeeze for another lens. It can easily fit three additional lenses in addition to the one on the camera, as well as some other accessories.” – By MikeyG

A Great Camera Bag, With Room To Spare
“As a professional documentation specialist, I carry many items when on assignment. I wanted a bag that holds more than just my camera, because I also carry a digital audio recorder, a backup camera, a small water bottle, etc . . . This bag is perfect. The hammock feature gives great protection for my primary camera (a Panasonic Lumix DMC-G1 12.1MP Micro Four Thirds Interchangeable Lens Digital Camera with Lumix G Vario 14-45 mm f/3.5-5.6 ASPH Mega OIS Lens (Black)), even when travelling on crowded, bumpy public buses in India.” – By B. Lovin This Bag
“I watched the video 4 this bag and i am very happy with the excellent quality. My only regert is i gave my old bag away and i could have used the shoulder strap 4 an additional bag so that i could readily tell them apart. The Padding on the top 4 ur LCD is a must and the water proof base is a plus.It even has a flap to carry ur tripod. The compartment 4 carrying your camera also protects the lens. “ – By Dandman

Love this bag, see review for details on all I fit into it
“I saw this bag at an expensive retail store and decided it was ‘the one’. Even though I’m a Tamrac / Lowe fam, I really liked this bag. I ordered on Amazon due to their great pricing and service. I really like the handle on the top, and the camera suspension system. I was able to fit my Canon 50D with battery grip and a 17-55 2.8 lens directly downward in the main bag area, along with adding an 80-200 f/4 Canon USM telephoto. There was also room for other items in the main area (hoods etc). Stuck the 430EZ flash in one of the side pockets. Also threw in a Sony Bloggie, various chargers and extra batts into the other side pocket. Also has nice protected zipper pockets for your memory chips. The protected bottom hard shell is great for rugged travel.” – By Hippie from Irvine

SLR Dream Case
“Excellent SLR Camera Case, Plenty big enough for several lens, room for charger, batteries and a few other gadgets. Very roomy in the main compartment. This is the perfect size case for just about any outing. I do believe you could drop it out of a moving car (I don’t recommend doing so)and the case would protect your camera! I am using this case to house my Kodak Z981, there is more than enough room for all the accessory’s. I have in the bag 2 sets of batteries, a charger, cables and a backup Kodak Easy Share C743 camera as well. I have plenty of room for a quick snack to be carried as well :-) I highly recommend this case, you cant go wrong.” – By Jake

SLRC-203 Large SLR Shoulder Bag
This tough and ready large SLR Shoulder Bag is perfect for an extended trip that requires some extra photo gear. The tapered design provides the capacity you need without excess bulk. Constructed to withstand the wear and tear of your adventures, this case protects your camera wherever your journey takes you. Holds most SLR camera bodies up to 9 x 5 x 7.1″ with lens attached and two to three additional lenses, a flash and additional accessories, plus a monopod or tripod.

Materials
Only high-quality materials are used throughout this exceptionally crafted SLR Shoulder Bag, which is backed by a 25 year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Exterior materials include heavy-gauge (840D) nylon with eye-catching orange accents. The case interior is lined in bright yellow for easy visibility of the contents. Air mesh on the back panel provides air flow between your body and the case. Carry options include a padded handle and a removable, padded shoulder strap with swivel hardware.

Hammock System
The innovative hammock system (patent pending) cradles your SLR in a neoprene bed suspended above the bottom of the case, providing superior impact protection. The triangular opening on the neoprene bed accommodates a wide range of lens diameters. When not in use, this optional system detaches and lays flat against the inside of the case.

Main Compartment Divider
An adjustable, padded divider in the large main compartment creates a custom fit for your camera while creating additional storage for bulky items like a lens, a flash or a charger.

Memory Foam
The dense, scratch-resistant memory foam lining the interior lid of the camera compartment cushions and protects your delicate LCD screen.

Molded EVA Base
The semi-rigid, molded EVA base creates a water-resistant foundation to this already rugged SLR holster. Formed of high-density foam, this base adds rigidity and allows the case to stand up on its own.

Zippered Accessory Pockets
Two zippered slip pockets store additional accessories. Under the tripod flap, a see-through slip pocket stores a lens cloth, filters or memory cards. A larger slip pocket on the back panel is ideal for a manual, map, small notebook and other slim items.

Large Zippered Side Pockets
Two large, tilt-out side compartments with gussets store additional lenses or other bulky accessories. Each compartment measures 7.5 x 5.75 x 3”.

Gear Attachment System
The front flap attachment system securely fastens your monopod, tripod or other gear to the case for easy, hands-free transport.

Carrying Options
This case provides two carrying options. The padded carry handle on top allows you to grab and go. The removable, padded shoulder strap can be adjusted to your preferred length. Swivel hardware on the shoulder strap lets the bag move with you when changing shoulders or transitioning to wearing across the body.
