Canon WP-DC19 Underwater Housing User Reviews

Great underwater photos
“Easy to use, and takes fantastic underwater photos, we also tried a little video that came out excellant also. Much easier & less bulky than our old 35mm camera made especially for underwater pics. Also much easier than carrying the bulky 35mm still AND an even bulkier 8mm video camera housing. Only problem was that the flash didn’t always work leaving us with very blue photos – typical of underwater shots, since the water filters out most of the color.” – By Dawn C. Blom

Good Product
“Just got back from Hawaii and used the underwater housing on several dives. Went down to 90′ and no problems. Used it for a night dive with the Manta Rays. You could hear the ocean noises and me breathing on the video clip, very cool. (I thought the video would be silent through the plastic.) Controls easy to use, but, you have to be familiar with camera controls. Underwater it’s hard to try switch between modes or any other setting if you don’t know before hand how to get there. Just practice a little. We’re very glad we bought it. “ – By John Sherman

Works Great
“I bought this product when I bought my camera at Christmas. I owned a similar product years ago for diving that held a disposable camera which began to leak after a few uses. I expected the same from this product but I was wrong. It survived a water park and the beach with no problems. “ – By J. W. Garrett

Great entry-level housing
“i have three of these. Use them for shallow-water research projects. They’re pretty rugged, are easy to use and maintain, and have remained problem-free to depths of 110′. “ – By Burton V. Shank

Works like a Charm
“A rainstorm of less than 5 minute duration resulted in the camera getting damp and it was trash, no way to repair. So this housing is cheap insurance for my expensive replacement camera and regular photos (not underwater) still turn out great even with the housing in place. I probably will use this housing underwater maybe 4-5 days a year, but I will have my camera in the housing most of the time. It’s easy to set up and easy to use. I’m very happy with the purchase.” – By FloridaSunshine
