I bought it in May to take on a trip with me, and the camera performed amazingly until I needed to change the batteries the first time. Then everything started going wrong. I replaced the batteries with high quality rechargables. The camera worked for about 5 minutes, then the battery light started to flash and the camera turned itself off. I have now tried every kind of battery on the market, to no avail. I have since googled the product + "low battery light" and discovered that I am not the only one. Canon obviously produced a batch with a defect - here's to hoping that I'll have more success getting it fixed than the other folks have. I have also had problems with this camera.
