Canon SELPHY ES40 Reviews

About reviews the Canon SELPHY ES40 and writes;
“Wow. That’s what I thought when I saw the sample pictures come out of this little printer, the Canon Selphy ES40. Wow. The colors were some of the best I’ve seen from any photo printer. That shouldn’t have been such a surprise–I’m always pleased with results from Selphy, and so far I think dye-sublimation printers really do the best job on photos..”
Rating: ★★★★½

PCMag reviews the Canon SELPHY ES40 and writes;
“The ES40′s print speed was essentially identical to the ES3′s speed in my tests, which makes it noticeably slower than the best available, but well within an acceptable range. I timed it at a consistent 1 minute 17 seconds per photo (plus or minus 1 second), whether printing from a computer, from the Canon PowerShot S60 camera, or from a CompactFlash card.”
Rating: ★★★½☆

Printercomparison reviews the Canon SELPHY ES40 and writes;
“The photo quality on the ES40 was good; colors were bright and the images were sharp although there was some fuzziness in high contrast and out of focus areas which I’ve found to be common in dye sub printers. Overall, you’ll find that the ES40 prints photo lab quality images almost every time.”
Rating: ★★★½☆

Computershopper reviews the Canon SELPHY ES40 and writes;
“It was worth the wait, though, since we were impressed with the quality of the photos. We saw clear color without either washed-out highlights or muddy low-lights. Printing directly from a Canon PictBridge camera, the computer, or memory card made no difference to the image quality. In all cases, the photographs were virtually perfect and equal to or better than drugstore prints.”

Canon SELPHY ES40 User Reviews

All I can say is WOW, | Rating: ★★★★★
“I plugged in my camera and started printing. So in the matter of about 3 minutes after I took it out of the box I had a gorgeous picture. I’ve had so much fun with this little printer and every single picture has come out absolutely perfect.” – by Ellie

Great Prints, Interesting Movement, Very Pleased, | Rating: ★★★★★
“This printer is the modern day equivalent of a Polaroid camera. You just insert the cartridge (for 50 photos), easily select the photo via the dial (which works very much like Canon cameras (or like an iPod, you can spin it or click each of the four directions)), then press the print button. Out comes the picture with no fuss. It won’t smudge and watching each color layer appear in succession is interesting, too. “ – by Mark Canvas

Great printer!, | Rating: ★★★★★
“Picture quality was good. Printer speed was average/good so no complaints. The paper/ink combo kits are fantastic. You always have the exact amount of ink for the amount of paper in each package so you never run out of one before the other. Very compact and light weight. LCD screen is a great feature.” – by J. Bourne

Great fun on the RV trip, | Rating: ★★★★★
“I purchased a Selphy and took in on a one-week trip with my Granddaughters through the Pacific Northwest. EAch night we would sit down in the camper and print out our favorite photos of the day and glue them into journals. We had so much fun making multiple layouts ~ great picture quality! “ – by Grandma Fizz

Why do reviews of the Canon Selphy ES40 and ES30 FAIL TO MENTION that that printer will NOT show you what a photo will look like AFTER you have made adjustments such as CONTRAST, SHARPNESS, SATURATION, etc. The printer LETS you make these changes BUT WITHOUT BEING ABLE TO SEE THE PHOTO. Then once you’ve changed these settings the printer takes you back to the UNCHANGED original photp. The ONLY way to see the changes you’ve made is by printing the photo. HOW RIDICULOUS IS THAT?!
