Canon S300 Reviews

PCMag reviews the Canon S300 and writes;
“The S300 produced excellent output on high-quality photo paper: Colors were accurate, and details were sharp. We noticed minor posterization in a digital image with a large expanse of blue sky, but we were impressed with the consistently high-quality output from the S300…”

Canon S300 User Reviews

Excellent product for the price
“I’ve owned a Canon S300 printer for the past six months, and I’ve been very pleased overall with it. It prints high quality black and white text and SUPERB photographic images. The first time I printed a photo on this printer, using glossy paper, I thought I was looking at a conventional print created from 35mm film. The resolution is exceptionally high, color is accurate and there is no pixellation.” – by Former Michigander in Northern California

A great printer
“Had two different Lexmarks and thought their defects were normal defects/problems common to all printers until I got this wonderful Canon. Have had it about a couple of months and to date it has given me flawless performance–and I print a lot. I happen to like its noise. It gives a bit of character to what I consider to be a perfect machine. I’ve had Canon cameras and lens for years. I have no idea why I didn’t automatically get a Canon printer. I’m very happy with this printer. “ – by A Customer

Inexpensive to own and operate
“I opted for this printer in a systems bundle over the normal Lexmark offering. I already own a S600 but wanted a printer for my kids to use and this was the choice for me. Graphics are good and so is text. Speed is high for this price point. I am using this on a T1220 emachines system on a home network and am sharing it with my laptop. Everything has worked to perfection.” – by R. Geissman

inexpensive and uncomplicated
“I got this printer in January while at college. This printer is very convenient and practical for basic reasons. It is quite cheap–I bought mine at just under $100, really easy to set up–I did it myself without confusion, and it prints quickly and nicely. My needs were straight forward and pretty elementary I suppose, and this printer is great at meeting my critera. Canon’s print cartridges, both for black ink and multicolor ink, are incredibly price friendly…” – by “oemmao”

I was suprised
“Aside from the economic benefits of it, this printer prints brilliant and crisp color that seems to mix perfectly with black ink. On some of my previous printers, the black spots in photos looked a little dull or out of place because of the color and quality of the ink. This printer, if used with Canon cartridges will produce beautiful pictures every time.” – by Pat

Good deal for the money
“I’ve had this Canon S300 for about two months. It works quickly and well. The set up was easy. I found a reconditioned unit for [fairly inexpensive] which definitely made a difference. Nothing obviously missing or short of new. The black ink seems to go pretty quickly but compared to the Epson I had been using the Canon cartridges are really inexpensive.” – by Kip Pheil

Low Price, Good Mileage with Ink, Great Results
“The Consumer’s Reports review detailed how sparing with ink the S300 is. That same rating gave this printer high marks for print quality, both photo and text. I have run off probably 1000 pages so far, mostly MS Publisher, text and photo combined. I say the ratings are true.. The S300′s output on regular paper seems to benefit from generations of technology beyond the HP 697C (about 5 years old, I guess) that it replaced in my home.” – by S. Claeson

Nice Except For Ink Thirst
“Overall this is a very good inexpensive ink jet printer. The image quality, black and white or color, plain paper or photo paper, is outstanding. It’s fairly fast and fairly quiet….” – by HiRez

AMAZING
“it is a budget printer, but the Quality it provides is good if your a student or a free lance printer. IF your into photography don’t go with this printer. HOWEVER, this printer is a MONEY SAVER!!! the black ink I buy from target is only $6.40 and the color runs for about $17. You can’t top that; the printer might be $100+ used but you will save lot of money in the long run in ink; I would reccomend this to anyone! “ – by FERRARI BOY

A great value
“I bought this printer as a refurb. I got it for considerably less than the listed price. That was three years ago. This printer has been totally reliable. The printing quality for photos is excellent and installing the printer on XP Home was easy and trouble-free. The ink can be found for a reasonable price. I highly recommend this printer! “ – by J.L.
