The Canon PowerShot ELPH 115 IS combines a 16.0 megapixel image sensor and DIGIC 4 image processor to produce high quality, well-detailed imagery. It has an 8x Optical Zoom with 28mm Wide-Angle lens which a 35mm-equivalent focal length range of 28-224mm, giving wide-angle to telephoto coverage to bring you closer into your photos subject. The lens also easy to shoot sweeping landscapes, large groups of people and tall buildings.

In addition, the camera also features Smart AUTO mode that offers a system of 32 predefined shooting situations and works to optimize camera settings to accurately render scenes. Smart AUTO also includes Advanced Subject Detection, which allows the camera to detect and track non-human moving subjects like animals and vehicles.

Canon PowerShot ELPH 115 IS is able to record 1280 x 720p HD video directly with a dedicated movie button. There is Intelligent IS that automatically chooses from six different modes to optimize image stabilization for the shooting situations. It enables you to capture clear, steady images with this camera, even in low light without using a tripod. Moreover, you can easily compose and review your photos and videos on a 2.7-inh LCD monitor.
