Digitalcamerainfo reviews the Canon PowerShot D20 and writes;
“The Canon PowerShot D20 is a worthy option within the class. Image quality is very good by tough-cam standards. Outdoors, colors are realistic but still vibrant, and details are crisp enough for sharing online and making regular prints. Underwater photos are rich and punchy.”

CNET reviews the Canon PowerShot D20 and writes;
“I used the 1080p option in my tests and achieved very impressive results. Motion was smoothly captured and colours were as true in movies as they were in stills. The sound of the zoom motor was well suppressed..”

Digitaltrends reviews the Canon PowerShot D20 and writes;
“Shooting underwater is one of the main reasons anyone buys a tough cam in the first place, and the D20 delivers fantastic submerged shots. Many first-gen rugged point and shoots were victim to the dreaded fuzzy halo around underwater pictures, and this is far from the case with the D20. Underwater images are clear, and underwater macro mode also stood up to the test admirably.”

Pocket-lint reviews the Canon PowerShot D20 and writes;
” if waterproof is an essential feature, then this is the price to pay. Pictures aren’t bad by any means, and Canon’s well-measured exposure and bright colours straight from camera are definite plus points.”

Great Underwater Camera
“It does have more functions and the screen is really nice compared to the D10. I just got back from Hawaii where I was able to use it every day in the water and the picture quality is wonderful. I love the effects that it has such as fish-eye and miniture. I also took advantage of the HD Video which was awesome!” – By travelandphotographytoday

This is a fun little camera
“The photos are razor sharp and now I can travel worry free over sand, rain and going under water. It’s actually small enough to just slide into my other camera case with the other camera in it.” – By KerryChad

Wonderful little camera
“What a great camera, easy to use, takes great pictures. One flaw that you need to know about so you can overcome it is; The lens is right near the top of the camera and I didn’t notice it while taking my test pictures because when I was not in the water I held the camera different than when I was in the water fighting the currents.” – By Howard W.

durable so far and good pictures
“This camera actually takes pretty good pictures and I took it everywhere. I didn’t buy it to put under water but did take it on a jet ski and boat trip and had no concerns what so ever about it getting wet. We were also in the middle of a tropical storm and so I could have it on the beach without worry.” – By Picky CO Mom

Canon PowerShot D20 – Well Worth the $$$
“The awesome… Underwater. Excellent pics even when not using the underwater setting. Of course distance from your subject is dependent on the clarity of the water but in normal, clear pool water 4 to 8 feet seems about right.” – By Toys_n_Games

Great for a rugged camera
“The zoom buttons work fine on the camera. The lens zooms in and out relatively fast. In fact, this camera surprised me with its performance. I had lowered expectations regarding its autofocus speed and shot to shot times, but they almost match my Canon Powershot S100 in that regard.” – By S. Vogt

Great camera
“This camera is for the everyday user that wants to have good pictures and HD video in one place. This is perfect for families and it can go in the pool, to the beach, and can still be handled by a toddler as it can handle some abuse.” – By Kendall Gator

Consider this waterproof camera first
“This is a very solidly built camera that is very eye catching. Image quality is EXCELLENT for a point and shoot camera. After using a waterproof Olympus, as well as a Panasonic one, I would definitely recommend this Canon D20 for the superior image quality.” – By Micah Wakabayashi

Excellent point and shoot, just a bit bulky is all
“I decided the D20 because of my good experience with Canon in the past and because the rugged and waterproof design was appealing to me. My mother who is in town visiting has the Canon PowerShot ELPH 300 and I decided to do a side by side comparison. I will upload some comparison shots, but the bottom line is that they perform nearly exactly the same in every way.” – By Dan
