Canon PIXMA MX7600 Reviews
PCMag reviews the Canon PIXMA MX7600 and writes;
“Photos on photo paper are also better than most inkjets can manage. They’re not quite a match for a photo lab aimed at professionals, but better than you’d get from a drugstore. They also proved to be highly water resistant and reasonably scratch resistant on my tests.”
About.com reviews the Canon PIXMA MX7600 and writes;
“Prints come out fairly fast, with a 4×6 color photo printed in under a minute and an 8×10 color photo in not much over a minute. The quality was excellent; photos were sharp and colors vivid, and the ink was dry to the touch the moment the prints came out. Printing in full color on plain paper did leave the paper slightly limp but not sloppy or moist as can be the case when printing on anything but inkjet paper. Fax, scan, and copy functions all worked well.”
Computershopper reviews the Canon PIXMA MX7600 and writes;
“The MX7600 prints color at a resolution of 4,800×1,200 dots per inch (dpi), and black at 600x600dpi . In our tests, both color and monochrome prints looked amazing. Canon’s claim of laser-quality text is no marketing hype: Edges were razor sharp, text was legible all the way down to a miniscule 3 points on both black and gray backgrounds, and colors were vivid and bright. In our color test pattern we detected no flaws whatsoever—text was sharp, colors were smooth, and blends and gradations were perfect, with not even a hint of banding anywhere.”
PCAdvisor reviews the Canon PIXMA MX7600 and writes;
“You get a number of other advantages with this ink, too. For a start, print speed is very good. Even at the Canon Pixma MX7600′s highest quality mode, A4 images on plain paper could be generated at the rate of 3.5 pages per minute (ppm). Drop down to the lowest mode, and you can achieve very pleasing prints at a rate of more than 6ppm. “
PCWorld reviews the Canon PIXMA MX7600 and writes;
“In our tests, the Pixma MX7600 printed black text on plain paper at an above-average rate of 9.8 pages per minute (ppm). It was also fast in generating graphics–managing 3.7 ppm, for instance, in printing a small photo on plain paper.”
Reviews.cnet reviews the Canon PIXMA MX7600 and writes;
“The quality of prints has also improved as well, thanks to Canon’s new Pigment Reaction inkjet technology. In contrast to its MX700 that has four ink tanks, the MX7600 has six tanks, five Lucia pigment inks and one cartridge of clear ink. Canon’s Pigment Reaction works by laying down a coat of the clear ink first and bonding it with the color pigments to create better quality graphics on plain paper.”

Canon PIXMA MX7600 Features
If you’re looking for an all-in-one device that can fax, copy, scan, and print eye-popping photos, look no further than the Canon Pixma MX7600 All-in-One Printer. With built-in networking via an Ethernet connection, the ability to print straight from a memory card, and an automatic document feeder that enables automatic duplexing, the MX7600 is the ideal addition to your home or small office.
Vivid Photos and Laser-Quality Text–Fast!
Canon’s newly developed Pigment Reaction (PgR) ink system incorporates a higher-intensity black pigment, a clear ink, and specially formulated color pigment inks for superior results for all your prints. This unique system coats the paper with clear ink before it reaches the print head, helping the colors more effectively bond together for better saturation and brightness. And since each color comes in its own tank, you only need to replace the color that runs out, reducing waste and saving you money.
Offering prints at up to 4800 x 1200 dpi color resolution, photos exhibit continuous tone and look like they are fresh from the photo lab. In addition to the PgR ink system, the printer has a print head capable of producing two-picoliter ink droplets for exacting detail. You don’t have to wait long for your prints either–a 4 x 6-inch borderless print takes only about 43 seconds.
When printing business documents, the MX7600 churns out prints at up to 28 pages per minute (ppm) in mono, and 23 ppm in color. Because the printer has two paper feeders, less time needs to be spent loading or changing media. With a built-in duplexer, you don’t have to waste your time standing by the printer flipping sheets when you want to print on both sides. And you don’t have to wait for the machine to slowly start up either; the unit is ready for use in about five seconds after power up.
The printer is network-ready thanks to its built-in Ethernet connection. Just connect it to your home or office network, and your networked computers can share the printer. The printer also features a built-in memory card slot that allows you to print photos straight from a memory card without a computer. With the printer’s LCD, you can look at the pictures you want printed, and with Auto Image Fix, picture quality is automatically optimized.
Duplex Scanning and Copying
The MX7600 features a built-in Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) that holds up to 35 sheets and enables automatic duplexing for copies and scans, leaving you free to work on other tasks while the printer does all the work.
The scanner offers up to 4800 dpi resolution at a 48-bit color depth for scans that pick up even the most minute detail. And thanks to Canon’s advanced copy technology, the MX7600 copies graphics and documents with faithful accuracy.
The device can achieve Super G3 fax speeds (33.6 Kbps), which allows the fastest fax transfers, and it can fax both black-and-white and color pages. The device’s built-in memory will store 100 coded speed dials and up to 250 incoming pages–features that are especially useful for long faxes or if you run out of paper.
The Canon MX7600 All-In-One Printer is compatible with Windows (including Vista) and Macintosh operating systems. The printer measures 19.7 x 21.1 x 10.1-inches (WxHxD) and weighs 36.6 pounds. It is backed by a 1-year warranty.
