Canon Pixma MX300 Reviews

Goodgearguide reviews the Canon Pixma MX300 and writes;
“Plain text pages looked pretty crisp. Graphics and photos varied more. On plain paper, images appeared grainy and a bit off-colour, with orangey flesh tones or purplish monochrome images, for example. On Canon’s own paper, photos looked pale and sometimes streaky, even after repeated maintenance routines.”

Gadgetspeak reviews the Canon Pixma MX300 and writes;
“The black/white image was so close to the original as to look identical. As the colour images I used were photos and I copied them onto plain paper it was quite easy to tell the difference although the images were still sharp and clear but obviously matt.”

CNET reviews the Canon Pixma MX300 and writes;
“The Pixma MX300′s print quality was pleasing overall. The black text was nicely dark, sharp, and the characters were cleanly formed–very impressive for a $100 all-in-one. The color graphics print showed great color reproduction, satisfying saturation, smooth color gradients, and sharp, detailed photo elements. The 4×6 photo print showed sharp details, though the colors ran a bit cool and some graininess marred faces.”

Canon Pixma MX300 User Reviews

Easy to use inexpensive printer/fax/copier/scanner
“I am happy with this printer/fax/copier/scanner. It was easy to set up with my Mac. The print quality is good with injet paper or laser paper. It is not too heavy; but it is wider than my eMac (Mac computer.) I ordered a USB cable too; so I was able to hook it up to my Mac when I got it. The fax function works well. It makes great colorful copies or black and white. The scanner is easy to use too. The ink cartridges are easy to install and replace. It has been trouble free. The ink replacement cartridges are easy to find and they are not too expensive compared with other printers. This is a high quality product. I feel satisfied; happy with this relatively inexpensive printer.” – by EleganzShopper

Canon MX300
“I use my MX300 for printing, scanning, and faxing. I haven’t used it for photos and do not plan to use it for that. The MX300 was super easy to install. It works great – only issue is that the cartridges are expensive and the MX300 uses the ink fast. I have owned the computer about 4 months and have just had to install the 3rd set of cartridges. The cartridges are PRICY for such an inexpensive printer – thus – though the MX300 works well, I may have to buy something else within the year. “ – by wileeeb

Great Machine for the price
“This is a fantastic multifunction machine! It prints beautifully, and is not nearly as loud as my last printer. It makes great copies, and scans nicely. I have not yet used the fax, but I am sure it will work well also, as the other aspects of the machine are great. I have had it running for two months and have not had to replace the ink cartridges yet. “ – by Michelle Crowder

Very good value
“The unit is large, but that was understood before I purchased it. Paper trays do not handle much. The unit does not weigh much at all. However, the quality and speed for a light duty machine are very good. Print detail using my MAC is excellent. For a student, your parents, or as a backup for the home office, this unit is perfect. As with many printers like this, color ink tanks are small, therefore, set the printer default to b/w, and save the color for when you really need it, especially when printing pages off the web. “ – by John

Canon Pixma MX300 all in one printer
“I replaced an Epson printer that I had for over 4 years and was very happy with until an envelope jammed in it and it wasn’t worth repairing. Did a lot of online research because this time I wanted more features, including fax, scanner & copying. Got this at Amazon for a very good price and in the short time I have had it, I am very happy with its performance. I have used the fax and scanner features quite a few times and find it user friendly. I have had occasion to call Customer Service and found them to be very friendly and helpful…so I highly recommend this product. “ – by Amazon Chase

Very good basic printer
“If you are looking for a basic all in one printer, this is the right one. It has excellent print quality, good scanning quality. It would have been good to have a SD card slot, but i don’t mind as much as i can use my PC slots. Print speed is good. This is the right piece for your home and its economical. I had a lexmark before, this one is way much much better.” – by Sam

small, relatively quick, but drinks lots of ink
“I am using this printer in my small office. Unlike some other reviewers, I found the setup to be simple (less than 15 minutes, most of which was software download). It prints much more quickly that the older Lexmark all in one I was using but you can get around this by choosing the fast print option.” – by Kid doc

Very good quality, fast, and quiet
“This printer is marvelous. We have never had much luck with HP printers, so i decided to try something different. It was on sale from an original price of $180 for $60. When I got it, it was very easy to set up on my computer, and I was up and running in minutes.” – by Sammy
