Canon PIXMA MP640 Reviews
PCWorld reviews the Canon PIXMA MP640 and writes;
“Print quality overall is quite good. Text documents from the PIXMA MP640 were very readable, though our 7pt text test document appeared slightly blurry. Documents with colour graphics appear inky straight from the printer but, once dry, look balanced. Oddly, we found the PIXMA MP640 actually produced better results using default quality settings than when using the best possible print settings. Regardless, photos are detailed and vibrant, and blacks are very crisp.”
Printercomparison reviews the Canon PIXMA MP640 and writes;
“Quality wise, the Pixma MP640 prints great photos on a range of paper sizes. Compare the Pixma MP640 8.5×11 balloon image to the Artisan 800 8×10 image or the original digital shot; you can tell that the MP640 is a worthy opponent. If lab quality print outs are a priority, the Pixma MP640 is a safe bet.”
Digitalversus reviews the Canon PIXMA MP640 and writes;
“Speeds for photo printing are also very good for average: 27 seconds to produce a 4 x 6” photo is very fast. Better still though, photos from the MP640 are excellent quality: it works fast and does the job well.”
Imaging-resource reviews the Canon PIXMA MP640 and writes;
“We loved the MP620 and we love the MP640 even more. It can handle your 4×6 and larger photo printing, duplex plain paper printing, photo copying and enlargement and reflective scanning even over a wireless network with ease.”
Trustedreviews reviews the Canon PIXMA MP640 and writes;
“Photo prints are still among the best we’ve seen from any SOHO machine. Colour blends are smooth and clean and shadow detail is much better than from some rivals. Colours are natural and correspond well to those in original images and foreground detail is sharp and precise. These are some of the best four-colour photo prints you’ll see from a mass-market machine. “
Techradar reviews the Canon PIXMA MP640 and writes;
“Speed and quality are the keywords when it comes to scanning, photocopying and printing, with the MP640 excelling in every area for mono or colour documents and photos alike. Build quality is also reassuringly impressive, feeling a cut or two above the norm.”
Canon PIXMA MP640 User Reviews
Superior Printer, | Rating:
“The Canon Pixma MP640R has turned out to be a superior printer in every way to any HP inkjet printer I’ve used in the decade. I was impressed with the easy set up (following the user manual and the machine prompts, including the wireless, less intrusive software than HP, and great user interface. The built in duplex printing decreases paper waste. Text and photos are sharp after optimizing the settings for quality printing. “ – by Experienced User
Awesome Printer, | Rating:
“I love this printer! The only problem I had was that I had to download a bunch of drivers from the Canon website to print wirelessly because I have a Mac, and there was really no way of knowing this through the directions. Now I love printing wirelessly, and the print quality is excellent…” – by Marie
Best Printer so far I’ve ever owned, | Rating:
“My last printer held very little paper, and this one loads from the front for regular paper (and hides the paper underneath in a drawer) and loads in the back for photo paper, and it knows the difference if you put it on paper allocation setting. It’s intuitive, and it’s a great printer. I printed only a couple of photos to try it out on matte photo paper, and they were really nice. The blacks are deep black, and that must be from two black ink cartridges. It really does a great job…” – by SandyW
Mostly a great printer, | Rating:
“I set up as wireless which has a few more steps so, be sure to have quiet uninterrupted time for set up, it’s not difficult but you do need to pay attention. I had a time finding the bottom paper tray as there are two (top & bottom)! The print quality is great. It does take time to initialize when first turned on, so don’t be in a hurry. I LOVE the two sided feature and the photo quality.” – by R. Roberts
Rocks!, | Rating:
“I’ve been looking for a basic printer for my business for over 2 yrs and while over a friends house I noticed they had a MP620. The photo printing quality was very nice, so I decided to check out the current Canon line.. Print quality was as expected. I was happy that I purchased it while it was on sale ($[...]) because I had missed it when it was available on [...]. I would definitely reccommend this printer to someone especially if they are using a Mac computer.” – by Loocy Purle
It’s TRUE, It’s All TRUE! | Rating:
“The setup went flawlessly! Print head just laid right in, ink snapped into place and a light said good to go. The cleaning and clearing of the print head does take about 20 minutes, which it tells you it will. Dat be true!…. I printed on “regular,” not the fine mode. It’s a TEST! But, I swear the quality on a matte piece of photo paper is a dead ringer for the originals! Better than “good.” Phrase comes to mind from long time ago, “MOST Excellent!”..” – by David Howell
Prince of prints – unless you anticipate v heavy use, | Rating:
“..Print quality on the most basic setting is completely acceptable – the HP had a “draft” setting which the Canon doesn’t. It would be nice to have an even lower quality setting to help with ink consumption. It’s well worth putting it on the lowest setting though. Printing is fast and quiet…” – by Ripple
It is perfect for us, | Rating:
“This printer is the best what I saw. It is really easy to install and it has a nice price. We have it connect with our WIFI router. The new driver also works perfect with WIN 7.” – by Matze
I love this printer, | Rating:
“This is the best printer I could have bought, I just had a baby and I’m constantly taking pictures of her. The picture quality is remarkable, I’ve had other printers and they just don’t compare to this one. Canon has made a great product.” – by Maria
So Far So Good, | Rating:
“I haven’t had this printer very long to really judge what it can do and how well it can do it. The set up was pretty easy and quick. It easily prints from the laptop located in another room. It is fairly fast and quiet and the copies are very good. I have printed duplex copies with ease. I have also used it as a copier; the directions were a little strange but the copies are good. No photos printed yet. It was a great price for all the functions and it looks good too.” – by singingcat
